What happens if Schaub starts next week and loses to BYE?

I'm going to be a bit conservative and say he will throw for 723 yrds and 7 TDs.

This is destiny for Keenum and the Texans. The started from the bottom, undrafted, rags to riches aspect is there. The stage is set for him to come in and save a once perceived Super Bowl contender from spiraling out of control. His opportunity to do this is against and undefeated fellow AFC team with a respected defense. And lastly, this game was recently reslotted into the 3:15 "Game of the Week." The table is set. The whole world will be watching. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: Case Keenum

 

All Damage control by Kubiak. He puts out Keenum who is a fan favorite because of his ties to U of H. He throws him out to the wolves against the Chiefs. He has nothing to really lose at this point. At least he knows people will watch now and think he is doing something but in fact he is not doing anything.

This can only go two ways of course, He gets ripped apart by the Chiefs and everyone says Keenum is not that good and he gets to wait a week with the bye and lets Schaub heal and starts him of course.

Or Keenum does well and there is a controversy going forward and Schaub still starts after the bye week but Keenum is now the second string QB.

I have a weird feeling that we win this game and Keenum is going to do well.

I think you may be digging too deep here. Schaub is hurt, so it's between Yates and Keenum. Perhaps Keenum just had a better week of practice?

I bet this has significantly raised the number of people who will watch this game. I didn't feel like watching if Schaub or Yates were trotted out there again, at least this makes the game more interesting. Schaub and Yates I feel will both be out of the league soon. Hopefully Keenum can show something.
