Interesting. I like Casspi, but don't think the Rockets run him out there as a regular starter in the regular season. Most likely just to see how he works with the starts. I for one like the options the Rockets have at PF. I have no issue with DMo, Jones, or Casspi starting. Asik, even if the Twin Towers lineup works, will probably be a backup as I don't think he is fit enough to run with the starters and still have enough energy to play every important non-Dwight minute.
Well in the preseason it doesn't, but I cannot see Casspi pulling many minutes against the Zach Randolf's of the world.
It's musical PFs for now. Casspi definitely isn't the long-term answer but this can't hurt. So far in the preseason, whoever starts at PF between D-Mo and Jones is awful and the one coming off the bench excels. Since Casspi has excelled in all 3 games, he's earned his chance.
