did anyone see that interview with foster last night? sounded like he was about to cry the whole time lmao
Except they were cheering while he was down on the field, long before he got up. Each of the players' quotes did exactly that and pointed out that it was just a small portion of the fans.
Then feel free to continue seething in outrage. Not everyone cheered, and those who did should be ashamed of themselves, but this topic has officially entered the Emo Zone, and that's unfortunate because we ought to be talking about the Suck Zone AKA Schaubiak.
HAHA! So true. I rewatched the incident and it wasn't bad at all. The cheers were extremely faint & lasted about 3 seconds. As someone else pointed out, this is a red herring.
ESPN's Mike & Mike have a more nuanced view of what happened. Starts at around the 14 minute mark. http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=9823058
Couldn't agree more. Everywhere I look over the last 3 days it's "sickening" this, "disgusting" that. I don't condone cheering player injuries, but the guy had his ankle rolled for christ sake... He wasn't lying unconscious on the turf, or leaving on a stretcher a la Irvin in Philly. I can't help but get a sense of national media bias. Even when KC fans cheered Cassel getting KO'd last season, the backlash wasn't half as loud. This is football, and people shouldn't expect a reaction to injury to be any different than it is on a school yard. Someone hits the deck: Freeze. Are they motionless, bloody, or sporting a compound fracture? Cause for concern. Otherwise: LOL I'm sure a lot of the players decrying Houston fans are just happy to cultivate a potential scapegoat should they need to quickly become multi-million dollar victims hoping to redirect criticism elsewhere.
It is just that some people get their rocks off declaring their belived moral superiority. Makes them feel special. So they can't wait to jump in a thread like this and judge others as awful.
Focusing on Texans fans negative behavior is a smokescreen <iframe src="http://embed.newsinc.com/Single/iframe.html?WID=1&VID=25260293&freewheel=69016&sitesection=houstonchron&width=600&height=338" height="338" width="600" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0"></iframe>
The players were acting like a bunch of women after the game. Don't mention family when you're qb rolls his ankle. That was LOL worthy. Do athletes even have a right to talk about family. I am pretty sure half of them are about as adulterous as Michael Jordan.
They'll run out of excuses soon enough. They'll probably praise the KC crowd when they lose and say, "their crowd was he reason we couldn't play well".
Defense I am already prepared for the 3 or so false starts Cush and Watt will provide. Along with Antonio Smith being due for a roughing the passer penalty. Kareem Jackson will once again be called for a PI that he has no business being called for. Shiloh Keo will get the start and pick off Alex Smith, only to be cancelled by Antonio's roughing the passer. Offense Keenum will start and play well at Arrowhead Foster is due for another big one And the offense will finally look like unpredictable as the QB realized that besides Andre Johnson, we have competent receiving targets.
Nobody had any idea what the injury was when they were cheering. Cheers took place when Schaub was laying on the floor with trainers around him. Plus, the replay shows an absolutely horrid image...seems like it was a dislocated ankle that fortunately popped right back into place.
Really? There wasnt one cheer when he was on the field? lol, ok. Also, did you know it's possible to limp off the field with a torn acl or torn achilles? Limping off the field doesnt mean, "oh, its only a sprain". A torn ACL probably ends Schaub's career...I dont care how much he is sucking at QB, the last thing I'd wish on any player is that they have a career ending injury. At the moment when he was coming off the field, not one person knew what the injury was... Not being a drama queen, just stating common sense.
And my point is, he makes multi-millions a year. He's going to be fine. Maybe he should play better, than people wont celebrate when he gets hurt. In all seriousness, I was at the game. I didn't make a sound until I saw Yates come in. That is when I started booing. Yates is trash.
Well, doesnt really matter if he is a multi millionaire or not, that's irrelevant to the point. I do agree that thing entire thing is being overblown because even though I personally wouldnt cheer an injury, I dont really care if others decide to do so...everyone has the right to do things their way.
