I know it wasn't a documentary... obviously. But they still could have done a better job capturing the emotion of his struggle. That is what directing is. You can portray certain emotions more effectively with something as simple as the right camera shot. I just feel like they could have done a better job of getting the audience to feel what Jeremy was feeling at the time. I used Rudy as an example because the story is similar. They never gave Rudy a chance because he was too small, too slow, etc. But he never gave up, he prayed a lot, and worked very hard and kept going when all signs were telling him to quit. He finally got his chance and he sacked the quarterback and was carried off the field on his team's shoulders. The story is very similar... except Jeremy Lin's story was captured with cameras as it was happening. I just didn't feel that huge sense of satisfaction when Lin finally got his chance and dominated with the Knicks, and that's certainly what the filmmakers were going for. They wanted you to feel like after all of the stuff he went through, he was proving everybody wrong and all of the emotion you felt building up during the film would reach the apex at that point. I just feel it could have been done a little better.

Watched Linsanity at the Sundance theater in Seattle, WA. Great experience. It was my first time watching a movie at a Sundance theater, and it was a great experience!
Jeremy: [laughs] So in Ratatouille, there's a little rat named Remy. And then there's his brother, the one who eats everything. I would want him to play me. I think that's very fitting. That guy's really cool. He's really laid back and down to earth. He just eats whatever, and he seems like he's always happy, so I like him. I need to get his name, I keep forgetting his name. This Taiwanese program showed a lot of clips from the movie, Mandarin version. A lot of good stuff : <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/69qaTCqzf3w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/FH6-MCS5lZc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
So what you're saying only Lin fans would enjoy it?? I wouldn't say I'm a "hater." I support all our players in my own twisted way. Besides all that though, based on its own merits, is it a worthwhile documentary to watch?
IMDB User ratings for Linsanity There are probably not enough votes yet to give an accurate rating. IMDB uses a secret weighted average to try to catch vote stuffing. If there are too many "10" (in this case 61%) it assumes most can't be real. Also the 11.4% "1" votes also are a bit high and probably not real either but don't look as fake as the "10" votes. If you eliminate the "1" and "10" votes you get an average rating of about 7.3 which is probably lower than the "real" user rating, but compares to the ratings of "Super Size Me 7.3" , "Hoop Dreams 8.0", "March of the Penguins 7.7".
