Lol, no I'm not gay. She has a sensual vibe about her. She seems like the type that is nice and polite woman during the day, but is wild and agressive in bed.

Besides, I am a youngish guy in my mid 20's, I kinda have a thing for older women.

Gotta get rid of Jalen now!

Doug Collins will drop knowledge on a regular basis, and Bill Simmons will keep things entertaining while also drawing attention to story lines that may not be obvious. I'd like to see them add someone like Marc Stein or Mike Smith, someone who can talk about the inside stories. And then replace Jalen Rose with Tim Legler. Jalen is the most difficult person on TV to listen to. Every time he opens his mouth he says something stupid.

If you think Simmons and Rose were the worst on the show and not Magic then imma have to ask you to take a seat and rewatch last years pre-game shows.

I think you'll find a great majority that will disagree with you as to whether Magic was the worst on the show or not.

Magic leaving is no big deal, but they should've kept Wilbon.

My FAVOURITE ESPN personality with a pornstar name might be joining NBA Countdown!!!!!!!!!

    Oh Sage Steeeeeele

I didn't bother quoting the rest of the article because it was just more "unbiased" crap about Simmons by the non-haterade sipping Deadspin writers.

What program were you watching!? Bill Simmons is the Worst commentator on sports t.v. and brings that show down. He had no energy, no chemistry with Wilborn, Rose, and Magic; and looks like a deer in headlights at times. He is definitely not ready for network t.v. At times, he fumbles with what he wants to say in his usual monotone weasel voice. I'd rather see Magic at least he brings some entertainment value and old NBA stories.

Bill Simmons is a highly annoying little dweeb. Doc river called him an idiot and Simmons responded like the whiny b**** he is. He doesn't know what is on Doc Rivers mind. He is stupid to argue that.

While I agree that as a tv analyst Simmons makes a good author and columnist he was still better than Magic. I've always thought Tim Legler is good...I think Jalen does a good job and Steven A. is good in kind of the way Howard Cosell was.

I agree. To me Simmons is like the president of a fan club who won a prize and got to sit with the real people.

It's incredible to me that a majority of people here would rather listen to Bill Simmons talk about basketball than Magic Johnson. If that's not patently absurd, I don't even know what to say.

I don't think Simmons was great on TV. But this was his first real time on TV with his own show.

I think Magic was RIDICULOUSLY AWFUL on TV. Clueless about most NBA franchises. Like genuinely had no idea beyond headlines about what was going on. All he wanted to talk about was the Lakers.

And he thought the Lakers would beat the Spurs with Kobe and push the Spurs without Kobe which is just dumb.

I would take talking to MAgic if it was 1 vs 1.

But I just think Magic is genuinely that awful of a broadcaster.

Absolutely. Of course Magic knows basketball but as a broadcaster just marginally better than Shaq (who had to make great strides just to get to God-awful)

Are you f-ing kidding me? Magic was god-awful. I'd rather listen to 10 straight hours of Stuart Scott narrating sports highlights with awkwardly dated 90s hip-hop references than have to hear Magic attempt to "analyze" a game entirely with stupid irrelevant cliches. Did you even watch Countdown? Like... ever? Bill Simmons absolutely ran circles around him when it came to real NBA discussion. At least Bill wasn't unwilling to acknowledge the NBA salary cap as an actual thing that exists and could name GMs of teams not located in Miami, New York, or LA.

Though Magic displayed tremendous talent when playing the game of basketball, his skills there seem inversely proportional to his ability to actually talk about it.

Simmons is mediocre as a tv analyst/broadcaster but he's way better than Magic. It's so weird when great players can't add any insight when they get in the booth. You'd think they'd be able to drop some great knowledge

It was obvious Magic never did any research.Sports fans are much more knowledgeable these days because of the wealth of stats and informatin available at their fingertips. Rattling off some old cliches isn't enough anymore

I'll try to get used to Bill Simmon's bulging eyes and forced attempts to be controversial.
