    Soooo should republicans focus on getting elected as a majority and reversing laws and creating bills that they deem fit for law. Instead of stopping the country as it recovers from a recession?

    It's based on the premise that like SS,medicare, and medicaid, the ACA will become another permanent rail of politics over time.

    While it could be truth, pretty ironic considering some supporters/hopers consider the ACA a stepping stone to even broader reforms.

    lol :)He could be a one termer. Being the darling of the remnants of the Tea Party will not count for much by then. That will be five more years of immigration to Texas from non-Southern states and registration among Hispanics. Three more years of old white confederates dying off.



    As an aside today when Cruz had his 5 minutes of national press while surrendering there was not much he could do but lie about Obamacare again. It was short and the normally media loving Cruz practically ran away from the podium.

    In 2018 an opponent will have a field day showing Cruz's lies against the popular healthcare program.

    No way in hell. He'll get an actual challenger in 2018 from the Democrats. Ted Cruz will flame out like Joe McCarthy did toward the end of his term.

    He might win but I assure you it will be a lot closer in 2018.

    Funny thing is all of your opinions are a minority. More people like him in our state than ever before.

    Not to mention the fact he will destroy anyone the Dems throw at him. The best Dem they have to challenge him is probably Wendy Davis and she knows better to run against him and will try her hand at Govenor instead.

    That's great. The problem is he has been put in the corner by his party. No one will back anything he tries to bring to the floor, so now that he can do literally nothing to help our state he is essentially there for his own political gain. That BS is exactly what we don't need in gov. If you like Cruz as a person that is fine, but he is giving up half of our representation in the senate for his own gain.
