Respectfully disagree. No way a PG better than Asik teamed with Garnett and a decent supporting cast should have a team perform that poorly in the Eastern conference. 18-20 before his injury...played better without him*. *There are sometimes reasons teams play better without a star. One could be the bench is just better than other benches. One could be a short period of team coming together. These don't seem to be the reason. Jeff Green elevated his game and got the Celtics into the playoffs. Jeff Green was more important to the Celtics than Rondo, last year.
Houston out: asik Houston in: millsap/jenkins/2nd Gsw out: bogut/2nd Gsw in: asik Atlanta out: millsap/Jenkins Atlanta in: bogut Would have to happen near the deadline. Thoughts?
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=llpdw9v Howard/Varejao/Camby Thompson/Varejao and then Parsons or Casspi when they want a long range 4. Parsons/Garcia/Casspi Harden/CJ Miles Lin/Bev
This has probably been beaten to death already...on Grantland's analysis of the Pelicans, what is the likelihood that Asik gets traded for Ryan Anderson straight up? It would be so fun to watch. Greg Smith would backup Dwight, and Camby, when he gets healthy, can help also. If only NOLA had Robin Lopez still...
If Pelicans give us Stiemsma to backup center, i like Greg Smith, but in my opinion the backup center must be a rim protector, and Smith is not that type of player.
Who says no to this trade? http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=l72argh Houston Out: Asik In: B.Haywood, Zeller Charlotte: Out: B.Gordon/Zeller, MKG In: R.Gay/ Asik Toronto Out: R.Gay In: MKG/Gordon
Three-way deal: Ersan Ilyasova to Houston Jeremy Lin to Utah Andris Biedrins (expiring contract), one of the two Warriors first round picks acquired by Utah this past summer, and either Terrence Jones or Donatas Motiejunas to Milwaukee Logic for all three teams is self-evident. Rockets cut Reggie Williams or Marcus Camby to get the roster down to fifteen guys.
Trade for Brandon Rush (dec 15) Houston out, Utah in A. Brooks G. Smith for Utah out, Houston in Brandon Rush and a 2nd Round pick
thanks, i think its really close, if its a prob replace smith with motie. lin harden rush parsons Howard or Bev rush garcia tjones Howard Would be awesome
Lin + TJones + Rights to Papanikolaou for Ersan Ilyasova and Ridnour at the trade deadline. Beverley / Ridnour / Brooks / Canaan Harden / Brewer Parsons / Garcia / Casspi Ilyasova / DMo / Casspi / Covington Howard / Asik / GSmith The Bucks really wanted Papanikolaou when we got him in the TRob trade, and I'll be surprised if Brandon Knight turns into the player Memphis wants him to be. Lin gives them a legit starting PG and a distributor to feed Sanders and their 3 point shooters. My only concern with this is we would lose our 2nd best distributor and would only have Harden to facilitate the offense. That being said, Morey is a wizard at finding undervalued PGs. We have our full mid-level exception next year, so maybe Llull becomes an option.
