I probably won't be in the majority here. But Cushing,Joseph, and Watt need to STFU. Schaub makes millions of dollars a year. Even if the guy tears his knee up and is out for the year, he's well off. The average Houstonian makes under 30,000 a year. Fans have a right to cheer when they want. It's not like the guy was laying down immobile on the field. He limped off the field. Life's not over. The players get paid because the average Houstonian spends hundreds of dollars to watch them play. The players are acting like children. Who cares what the fans think. Stop overblowing the situation because you are not performing on the field. Classless Andre? Consider yourself lucky to play the game you love and make millions doing it. The average Houstonian spends a large chunk of their pay check to envy you on Sundays. Stop acting like a sensitive prick and play better.
The fans weren't cheering because Schaub got hurt. They were cheering because another QB would be coming in to replace him. And I tell everyone who earns a paycheck for the Texans to STFU. These guys are getting paid millions of dollars a year to play football. I have no sympathy for them. Hand me 4 million dollars and you can blow my knees out, I don't give a ****. These scumbags are overpaid. How about "earning" some sympathy from your fans? We're the people who pay your bloated salaries. We don't ask for much, but we do ask that you not get blown out by the Rams by 30 points at home. Is that asking for too god damn much? Holy ****.
I'll bet you have a hard time with cops, amirite? Do you often get upset walking by construction areas because "those guys are always just standing around?"
I'm actually wearing my Texans shirt with pride today:grin: All the bandwagon fans are being weeded out
Who was actually at the game yesterday? From my Point of view, I just noticed people cheering and then saw that they had the community member of the month on the score board so my first thoughts was the fans reacting to that. I then noticed Yates was coming into the game and figured it was cheering for Yates coming in. I did not know Schaub was hurt, don't remember seeing an annoucement or hearing any. I know there is alot going on in the game. My bet is most fans just joined in the cheering when they saw Yates come in and didn't realize Schaub was hurt and maybe a small portion just thought the cheering was for the annoucement on the score board for the community member. I think the texans players reacting and calling out fans makes this city look bad and the media is going to have a field day with it making us look classless. I highly doubt most people there actually cheered Schaub getting hurt but because when your at the game, there is no commentary to tell you what's happening. Plus there's alot of people who will just react to whatever the crowd is reacting not even knowing what's actually going on.
Booing Schaub's injury is a RED HERRING!!!! It never actually happened, a fallacy that is distracting and deflecting from the real issue.
That's a lie. I was there and as soon as Schaub stayed on the ground, they started cheering. When Yates came in everyone started cheering again and this time even louder. Classless act by the fans.
I doubt anyone was cheering him being hurt - but rather that it meant someone else was coming in to play QB. DD
There are more than one person(s) that have came up to me today and asked if I saw everyone's reaction after Schaub went down. They know and we know that they were all cheering him getting hurt. The crowd then quieted down till he made his way to the sideline and then Yates came out and the crowd let out an even bigger cheer for the new quarteerback. There is no doubt about it, they were cheering him getting hurt. If you were there you would have noticed the same.
As if it even matters. You don't blow a load all over yourself that a new QB is coming in while the guy on the field is laying there injured. Unless you're a classless idiot, of course. Then by all means, go ahead.
Okay its their opinion. The media asked them a question and they answered it. Personally, I don't really care about the opinions of an underperforming football team. Majority of the fans were not cheering for schaub to get hurt but a Qb change. Give us some hope and tell us there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We waited all summer to see this crap. How does Kubes go up to the podium nowadays and talk about we need to get better. Well, lets see it. We are like the cowboys now but the only difference is they have romo who is wayy better than JVSchaub. Jonathan Joseph saying Don't come to the game. How about u n Kareem learn how to cover again because you forgot to after the 2011 season.
So, it is not like that someone was having a neck injure, that would be very bad. Here, the fans want to a change, and the coach does not want, that is the major reason for the fan reaction for a minor leg injure. It is a classless move, but the sports are never for a class, the fans pay the money to see the winners, not for the losers.
It doesn't really matter the type of injury really. Being classless is being classless. If he would have had a severe leg injury what would have been the difference, people still would have cheered him getting injured. And you're wrong, people in Houston pay to see football, not to see a winner. The Texans sold out long before they became division champions.
They were cheering his injury lol. Understandable considering circumstances, but that doesn't justify it. What do people expect? Football is a barbaric sport.
