I hope Case Keenum gets the nod going forward but I really feel bad for him to go against that KC defense in his first start. That would not be very fair to poor Case. I would start Case after the bye week.
Forget? I don't even remember saying that, you read way too much into what I said which is there is no excuse for it. You're wrong guy, I take NO enjoyment from a accident. You can keep trying to act like I or others do but speak for yourself. All I said is if you believe in such a thing. You hung onto that. Look, in the end fans can HELP a team tremendously by supporting their players. Showing love for their players. Showing that they care about the players that rep their town. This is no science, there is no mystery why Seattle wins at home, why players play better at home or in front of friendly crowds.
You are reaching with this one. I seriously doubt anyone that sees an accident wants to be entertained or shows any sort of exuberance about it. Most people don't look at an accident and start cheering or anything like that.
if seattle got blown out by STL @ home this year... The boo's would rain down (no pun intended). there has to be a red line between "supporting your team" and "blindly supporting your team". It's more than obvious that the texans are going no where with Kubiak in charge.
So now fans looking to replace players that are playing like utter crap "bad karma that causes all our injuries." WTF kind of logic is that? What you're basically implying is that fans cheered because of injury. I disagree. Because of the following. 1. IF Schaub had been replaced by Yates WITHOUT injury, fans would've cheered. 2. IF any other Texans player went down with an injury, fans would NOT have cheered. Fans cheered for Matt Schaub leaving the field, not because he was injured. It's only circumstance that they cheered. Is it bad taste and bad timing? Yes. Would I have done it? No, because I have tact. But let's not make it seem like Texans fans cheer for injuries. No they don't. They cheer when crappy players that makes their team lose making the among the highest salaries on the team get off the field.
They were clearly cheering when Schaub got down and grabbing his ankle, Yates was still sitting in the bench, and they were already cheering. if they started cheering when Yates was entering the field, then it would have very different. the jets fans didnt cheer when Mark Sanchez got injured during the preseason.
You mentioned Houston specifically. Props if you don't look at accidents. Don't act like many people don't though.
Thank you!! It happens everywhere under similar circumstances. Some posters are trying to make it Houston specific, then cry woof.
Booing team performance is fine. That's not what this is about. Still though, Seattle fans are always in their seats and loud as heck. Even when their team is mediocre. Lets be real here...the opposite is true for Texan fans. I don't care how crappy they think Schaub is, he got hurt and was taken off the field and they cheered. They know better than that. You're right, they don't cheer for player injuries. This city KNOWS football, they know when to be quiet and when not to, can't feign ignorance now. When Bennett was hurt a few weeks ago there were no cheers, they know when someone is hurt the best reaction is none at all. I think it's a safe assumption that they were cheering because he was hurt and thus being replaced. 1. That's fine, I don't care if they are cheering in that scenario. 2. Likely right, most of them put the blame all on Schaub so that's not surprising. Again, they want him replaced. Of course if Watt was getting hurt they wouldn't cheer for it.
we need to send mchale over there to take care of business....we need a coach who'd not afraid to make moves for the betterment of the team period.
And? It really has no tie into "There is no excuse for it." Just because people look doesn't mean they are entertained by it.
