Bills' history is better than the teams they beat. Again, unless it' the fans fault. Enjoy the next accident.
Are they not showing up for practice or missing games? I agree they are not doing great at their jobs and fans certainly have a right to be irate about the quality of work that they are doing. That is different though than cheering when they get hurt and justifying it with that as fans we are entitled to act boorishly to them. If I am at a restaurant it is fine if I am upset if my food takes long time to get to my table and is cold that is a different matter than cheering for the cook to cut himself.
Like I said earlier - either stop watching this "barbaric" game entirely or stop feigning outrage over a non story.
Well fans weren't looking to replace those players. But Texan fans seem to be building up a history of things like this for players they grow tired of seeing it seems.
My stance is really the players and coaches... mainly the owner. Players need to stop the dumb penalties and turnovers though. Even if the coach calls a bad play, the QBs shouldn't throw such dumb passes. The problem is many levels unfortunately.
Not just Texans, happens everywhere most times under the same circumstances. Not sure why that's so difficult for you to grasp.
Just because it happens everywhere doesn't make it right or acceptable. Here's a extreme comparison for you. Murder happens everywhere Who says I stare? Maybe you do and maybe you take some enjoyment from them but don't project that onto everyone else. Even if someone stared, not sure how one would jump to the conclusion that they enjoy it.
Did they cheer for Matt being injured or for TJ coming in? Do we even know. I certainly don't blame the Texans for putting up for a teammate. Matt doesn't want to suck. By all accounts he works hard. However anyone that knows the history of collapse by the Oilers and Texans and has watched Matt play this season knew this was going to happen... It was a perfect storm.... A football crazy city with 40 years of frustration, a sport that is growing so quick, a coach that refuses to make any changes or criticize his QB, an owner that is not responsive, a player struggling at a position that is easy to blame (QB) and a team with Super Bowl talent .... Add that up with a team that should be 0-6 and you get what happened today with fans booing Matt and cheering when he is down.
Dude, I'm saying everywhere because you tried to make it specifically to Houston. Did you forget doing that? Did you forget your lame argument about Houston karma? As for accidents, I mostly don't looking. I've always thought if you stared, you're somewhat getting entertainment from it. Know why? Because you are!!! Doesn't mean you wanted it to happen, but since it's there why not look. I don't like doing it. Wanna really talk about karma? I've always thought looking increased YOUR OWN chances. Get off your high horse.
Not sure which interview people were quoting, but Andre did say "it wasn't all the fans". Nobody mentioned this.
I was at the game today and about 30 to 35% of the crowd was cheering when Schaub started grabbing his ankle and he was rolling on the floor writhing in pain. Then 100% of the crowd cheered when Yates came in (including myself) and that was ok. But I really felt bad for Schaub. This game was not his fault. The crowds response whether justified or unjustifed has been a culmination of Houston Sports teams failures, ineptitude at the Quarterback position all year long, Garbage play calling and overall dissapointment on Defense, Offense and Special Teams. Still we need to keep perspective its a game, Matt Schaub is a human being, he works his tail off. He spends countless number of hours in meetings, analyzing game tape and practicing with his teammates. Schaub is like family to his teammates he goes to battle with them every Sunday and when fans go that low to cheer and injury to their QB this will happen from his teammates.
