I agree with you. He seems to make quite a bit of silly fouls? But I thought he was kind of taking it personal with R. Hibbert tonight.

For the first 3 quarters, it felt like a regular season game. The intensity was definitely there.

Every team struggled in the first minutes of the 3rd quarter

I understand hibbert is prob the biggest center in the league, but I would think Marc Gasol will probably put up a good fight with Dwight as well.

I understand where you're coming from. I will not over analyze a pre-season game.

I just hope we see more pick and roll from Dwight and not just get the ball in the post.

So far Dwight as a Rocket has had 1 pretty good game and 2 bad games. Am I worried? Not at all. However let me just say that I am very grateful Asik is still on our team.

Hibbert killed us past season. Now he will have a tough time battling with Dwight down low and Asik off the bench. It's not all about stats. Dwight attracts so much attention and intimidates opposing players on defense, makes it easier for everyone else. That is what's important.

No worries, I'm probably just defensive b/c I'm already tired of Laker fans ripping him over his preseason performance. Hopefully things will look better once everything starts to gel more. I do think Hibbert was probably one of the tougher assignments he could've drawn early on, though.

Well so long as he doesn't feel too much pressure due to the offense Harden, Lin and Parsons (and Casspi, Bev, Garcia, Jones, DMo zomg the whole team pretty much)...

He won't have to feel the need to force his way back.

    It will return gradually.

That's true though. Another note is we play the Pacers only twice in a season.
And considering Hibbert's health issues he might not even play in both of them.

I don't think there is much to worry. Focus on the guys in the West

So you're not worried about Dwight after three preseason games? I guess the nine years of 18 and 12 probably mean more than three preseason games. Good call.

Today the Pacers made an effort to pack the paint and didn't get any calls so I paid more attention to whether Hibbert dominated the paint on the offensive end. I think Howard did a great job. One thing that caught me off guard was that mid range bank shot at the beginning of the game. That was nice.

That's yesterday; just like Linsanity is yesterday, and last year's playoff is yesterday, and Yao and TMac are yesterday. No, I'm not worried. Hibbert is a great defender; although Dwight should have thought more about passing out if he's tripled teamed and Rox players everywhere are wide open (yes, like in Orlando). Also McHale is experimenting by having Howard work on his 12 foot bank shot for spacing when Asik gets back in the lineup. Should be a fun, interesting season...

Someone post that pic of Hibbert with Duncan.

Dwight's post game depends on power and he's not going to overpower a big ass dude like Hibbert. He's not going to get bailed out and get 20 points off easy setups from CP3 like Blake Griffin.

I don't expect him to be able to dominate every center offensively. As long as he does his thing defensively, and puts up buckets against most teams, I'm cool with that. Him and Hibbert both struggling offensively is fine when we have Harden and they don't.

I'm just happy we got Dwight because no one in the entire league can push this dude around. The same can be said about Asik.

He's giggly like a schoolgirl and wouldn't hurt a fly if his life depended on it. But man is he large.

He was pressing too much. Last season with the Lakers Howard stats below:

17pts (7-10) from the field (3-12) from the freethrow line and 8 rbs in game one.

20pts (7-17) from the field (6-11) from the freethow line and 12 rbs in game two.

So peeps his performance tonight had nothing to do with Hilberts size advantage.

And DH12 was still pushing him off his sweet spot.

His efficiency will rise when chemistry improves, and when he'll be getting the majority (60-70%) of his shot attempts from alley-oops, PnR finishes and put back dunks/finishes after offensive rebounds.

He's obviously very elite that those 3 things.

When he develops some stronger/more varied post moves (Olujawon-esque, or McHale-like), he will be very versatile.

The only real thing we can take away from 3 preseason games is the fact that Dwight fits in really really well with Lin/Harden/Parsons. Chuck in casspi/dmo/tjones...should be all ok.

Would love to see Asik in the next few preseason games.

TWIN TOWERs for 10-15 mins of the game would be insane.
