Manziel is the early favorite, but he has more competition this year:

Devin Gardner? WTF? Dude is nowhere near the Heisman race right now.

Marcus Mariotta is definitely in the lead right now, with Manziel, Bridgewater, and Tajh Boyd behind him.

Mariota better keep his accuracy going in the right direction. He missed a bunch of throws in the first two games, although against Tennessee he was sharp. If he keeps avoiding INTs and continues ripping off 50+ yard runs, it could happen.

Because of their sorry schedule, I think it may be Teddy Bridgewater's to lose.

Jameis Winston is my darkhorse. The only good defense he faces all season is the finale at UF.

Agreed Devin Gardner has no chance. INTs (especially the two pick-6s) have already killed his candidacy IMO.

The wide receiver trying to throw it is not going to win Heisman, lol. I don't see Johnny having a chance unless Aggies only loss is Bama.

RSJ undergoing knee surgery; likely a medical redshirt.

That hurts. Looks like Holmes, Walker, Gonzalez and LaRue are going to have to step up.

That defense is a got damn joke and has been all year.

And play-calling that would resemble that of Gary Kubiak....you end up with this cluster****.

Damn that was ugly but I'll take it.

    Manziel wouldn't let them lose.

Mark Snyder needs to answer for why he can't get the defensive calls in the game in time for his defense to get set up. I counted close to a dozen plays where the defense wasn't set when the ball was hiked including an Ole Miss TD.

I think it might be time to start looking for a new defensive coordinator.

And THANK GOD they found Lambo to take over kicking for Bertolet.

Yeah, people want to make excuses. They're young, blah blah blah.

No excuses. That D is terrible. Not ready, out of position, so on and so forth.

Manziel is one of the best college players I have ever seen along with Earl Campbell and Vince Young. He is utterly amazing, totally clutch. Some of his throws are like lasers and nobody is more creative with the football. The most interesting shot was him leading a prayer session before the winning kick. He was really praying. That was surprising considering his reputation. Is he a recent convert? Is this the new Johnny Football?

I am a longhorn fan but Johnny Manziel is so fun to watch!

Dude is a stud and gamer!

Plus he made the Sooners look like crap in the Cotton Bowl like a Vince Young the national championship game.

On the bright side we limited the big run gashes. On the not so bright side we limited literally nothing else.

    Claiborne looked pretty good doe.

Agreed. So tired of seeing our defensive line get bullied, our linebackers shoot the wrong gaps, and our secondary ALWAYS getting caught looking in the backfield. Has there been a SINGLE playaction pass that HASN'T fooled Mathews this season?? This defense is gong to cost us a winnable game sooner or later this season if things don't get fixed.

On a plus note, Manziel has clearly put in a lot of work on his mechanics, and it's showing. He looks phenomenal throwing the football.
