I think the Dodgers are the better team...but I'm not sure that even matters when you're playing the Cardinals.

The Cardinals are truly a great franchise whether you hate or love them.

Yup, I'd model a franchise after them. (Oh wait, Jeff Luhnow is trying to do that.)

Good team, very easy to root for. (Did I just say that out loud?! Man I'm gonna get killed. :p)

I think this is the inexplicable truth. I don't know who I'm pulling for. Usually when I don't know, I just watch the game, and feel myself ending up cheering for one team.

Watching now, I guess I'm for the Dodgers. They have some real bad apples amongst their fans, but not all of their fans are like that. I just still feel the rivalry for towards the Cardinals. But I also appreciate their lower payroll.

I'm having a really hard time picking which team I want to win.

Out of all the NL Central teams, I've probably disliked the Cardinals the least.

On the other hand, I despise all LA sports teams... so there.

It has been a great game thus far. Beltran and Uribe are continuing their excellent postseasons.

Excellent play by Puig. I guess I am rooting for the Cardinals but wouldn't mind if the Dodgers won. As long as the Tigers beat the Red Sox I will be happy.

Substituting Gordon for Gonzalez now seems like a big gaff. Sadly I'm having this conversation with myself!

The most clutch postseason performer for the Disastros priming the cardinals for another deep postseason...Carlos with the game winner

    Berkman was more clutch.

Clue me in how does the Cardinals manage to pull off these deep runs in the playoffs every single year? They change players and BAM they have instant success.

Stats prove Beltran is the greatest post season player.

and yet, statisticians will still deny that someone can be "clutch." :)

Wasn't saying that Beltran wasn't clutch... just that Berkman did more for the Astros combined in 2004 and 2005 than Beltran did in the amazing 2004.

2005 alone should exemplify Berkman's "clutchness" for the Stros... the grand slam in the bottom of the 8th against the Braves in the 18 inning game. The 3 run HR off a dominating Chris Carpenter in the bottom of the 7th of what should have been the game 5 NLCS clincher (until Brad Lidge-Pujols happened).

One day, games will matter again down here...
