I think it will cost them KD in 2016. He will leave for a bigger market or a (closer to) perfect situation. OKC won't win a championship before then and in everyone's mind (including KD's), the Harden trade will be the primary reason. The nail in the coffin is they won't even get back to the Finals IMO.

I think he's ticked off by the whole thing but won't admit it for obvious reasons.

You are very short-sighted for not seeing the obvious or maybe you are just playing dense. This summer, K-Mart would have dumped the Rockets for Minnesota just like he did OKC. Giving up K-Mart on an expiring contract was like giving up nothing. The trade was totally one-sided.

It doesn't matter if you are satisfied. Everyone else knows the Rockets stole from the Thunder. Don't know what planet you live on but have fun.

Can't believe Perkins is 28. This guy plays like he's 38.

I don't think KD will leave. There will be so much backlash. He'd go from a likeable NBA player by nearly every NBA fan, to hated by many.

Yes, the Harden trade and choosing to keep Perkins over Harden was incredibly stupid. But, KD is the 2nd best player in the NBA, and still has Westbrook on his team as his sidekick, who according to some, is a top 5 player, and easily a top 10 player.

He also has one of the best defensive players in the league in Ibaka on his team.

At least when Lebron left cleveland, he didn't have anyone nearly as good as Westbrook.

OKC can still make it to the finals, but not with their current roster. They're still missing a few pieces.

KD doesn't have a valid excuse to leave.

Which is really all he needs.

All he needs is another team gearing up for 2016, opening up cap-space and also having a star player for him to play for.

I think the scenario of KD or WB leaving is very possible. Especially if they don't get back to the finals, frustrations will be rising for those guys and you can bet other teams will be gearing up to pry them away.

Kendriks Perkins should be charged for vandalism. He has destroyed the Thunder championship dreams.

Fan backlash will have nothing to do with KD's decision. He won't douse himself in gasoline and light a match like LeBron did.

Sure enough the situation in OKC isn't pathetic like it was in Cleveland for LeBron, but KD's rationale will probably be the same: Winning championships. If the next 3 years aren't up to snuff and future prospects aren't looking better in 2016, KD is as good as gone IMO.

Presti and OKC find themselves in the same position as the Cavs: They are under the gun and better deliver. KD is still very fond of Harden. The warm and fuzzies for the franchise left with that one-sided trade that put KD further away from winning a championship. I doubt he gives OKC much benefit of the doubt (if any).

The backlash in 2016 will be on Presti, not KD. Before the trade, he was golden in OKC. Now the shine is long gone and pock marks are showing up.
