When Democrats regain control of all branches of Federal government, they need to salt the earth so the GOP can't come back. Media fairness laws, massive restrictions on lobbying, more investment in public broadcasting, reinforce separation of church and state, anything and everything to make it more difficult for the 1% to brainwash working class Americans.
Actually nothing gets my goose (I haven't heard that saying before). The fact that you messed up the percentage of an outlier poll and claimed that polls can't lie while the hottest poll out there is the one that puts Republicans at lower than any party in the history since polling is hilarious to me. After all, you're the one that's trying to claim how the polls don't lie. It's amusing to me. Add to that the poll that shows ACA is more popular since Cruz' actions than it was before is also funny to me, given your logic about about putting all your faith in polls. Of course GOP supporters have a history of doubting data. They did it in the 2012 election. They've done it with global warming. They've done it with evolution. Sometimes, they just look at data, and feel that it can't be true, so they pretend it isn't. They've never been right when they've done that, but they have that history. I wonder if that gets your goat because it appears that your goose is cooked.
To overgeneralize the polling at the time of the healthcare debate: 1/3 of those polled were against the proposed reform because it was teh soshulizms 1/3 of those polled were in favor of the proposed reform 1/3 of those polled were were against the proposed reform because it didn't go far enough The talking point on the right became "two thirds of Americans are against this government overreach!" Ignoring the fact that half of those against were opposed because it didn't go far enough (i.e., including a public option or single payer.)
