My favorites this season aside from Kuroko, LB, and hxh: Golden time Ace of the diamond Kill la Kill Hajime no ippo (have got to see S1 and 2) Yowapeda I'll be looking forward to each of these episodes every week. @moskeemyao Valverave the liberator (mecha) Log horizon (fantasy ala SAO) Strike the blood (demon hunting?) Samurai flameco (hero action) Arpeggio of blue steel (sci-fi) Kill la kill (action and epicness)
I'm with you on Hajime no ippo. I can't believe this anime is coming back with a 3rd season! Finally after 10 years lol
I started Watching Gatchaman Crowds and I was really turned off by the suit designs. This concludes my Anime thought of the day.
I can honestly say I like log horizon a lot more than SAO right now. Hope they don't follow their direction..
I actually got around to watching anime instead of reading manga for the first time in a couple years, and I really enjoyed watching Hataraku Maou-Sama. Definitely one of the best animes out there.
Not really a spoiler but in case you're the type that doesn't want to know anything Spoiler It will not be a SAO type of story.
I don't have time to add another anime, but this one has me intrigued... so is Log Horizon along the lines of online gamers thrust into a real world game? I keep seeing it there and I'm tempted to add it to the queue... but I already have so many!!! Though maybe I can drop the two that I don't "have" to watch each week and add this one.. I'm also trying to catch up with magi so I can watch it.
It's really good, way better battles and more strategic than SAO (sorry if I keep comparing the two) . It's pretty much players getting stuck in the game. I believe there was a scene where the log out button didn't work when the Mc kept tapping it.
Okay so I've been watching the rooster teeth RWBY and I'm really interested in the story but the animation/graphics are killing me. I want it to be less like line drawings than animation. Is anyone else watching this?
Ok, because you say so, I'm gonna check this out. Seriously SAO going off the rails after episode 14 or so (and that INSANE incest angle) had almost sworn me off that entire genre of anime.
So I took off kill la kill and added Log Horizon... And I am glad. I like this one much better Best line in the first episode "there are two kinds of men in this world. Open perverts who admit it and closet perverts who don't" lol had to share it on tumblr I love the line so much!
Just watched Log Horizon. It was... ok, I guess. Not bad, but I think I made a huge mistake watching it right after an AMAZING episode of Legend of Korra. Gonna wait a bit before watching the next episode.
Started watching Initial D on Netflix a few weeks back, I must say it is what Tokyo Drift should have tried to imitate, good anime.
One thing I noticed about one piece is they do a bunch of running in every arc. That clitter clatter always sounds the same
Oh my god yes. Constantly. This is their favorite way of filing time in order to keep to their 1 manga chapter per episode strategy. They're really fortunate that OP has such long chapters for a weekly manga or they'd be screwed (on hiatus like Bleach and Fairy Tail, or having a ridiculous amount of filler episodes like Naruto). Echiro Oda's been ill lately and taking a lot of weeks off though so the anime will probably have to have a filler arc soon (OP filler is uncommonly decent though).
I'm on the 11th episode of Gurren Lagann. Is the rest of the series this good? Does it get better? Is this real life?
That's awesome! My all-time favorite anime.:grin::grin::grin::grin: I just watched the entire run of Death Note. While I enjoyed it, I don't think it really lived up to the hype, and probably should have ended at 25. I did read that the original manga was supposedly stretched out due to popularity, so I suppose that translated to the anime. I'm looking at Steins;Gate as my next anime. Thoughts?
I agree that Death Note would have been better if it had just ended sooner, before the Near arc. I still enjoy the show (and the manga even more), but it doesn't crack my top ten. Steins;Gate sounds like a great choice for next watch. I haven't seen it, but I've heard nothing but good things. I lose track of what other people have watched, but if you haven't seen them, check out a few of my favorites: Mushi-Shi, Ghost in the Shell (both seasons), Moribito, Gunslinger Girl (first season only), Dennō Coil, Ergo Proxy. Hard to go wrong with any of those. FWIW Dennō Coil was never localized at all (I can't imagine why, it's so damned good), but the rest have high-quality English dubs.
