With Howard and Harden in place, I rather have 2 8M dollar players than one 16M player. The third star always has to take a "backseat" in terms of usage and would be a waste of talent. i.e Bosh was considered the best 4 in the game before going to Miami and even in his first year and years after, some people don't even have him top 5 in his position. He plays great for them in stretches but he isn't close to what he was and should be. I think the ideal team should be 2 Superstars at a wing and post position, with 2-3 really good players, then surrounded by role players and specialist.
Let's face the fact. Asik got traded by the end of the season, Parsons resign with Rockets for bigger cake and we won't have star PF. Let's hope either Jones or DMo turns out as semistar. In other case we just will be signing players for vet salary at 4 spot.
Portland has Lopez, Minnesota has Pekovic, New Orleans has Davis (although he might be better off as a PF) - there is a good chance, that those teams don`t want Asik. Love would cost a lot more than Asik - and I don`t think they will trade him. They have the best team they`ve had in a long time, no reason to blow it up. Aldridge would also cost a lot more than Asik - he might be available, but our pieces aren`t very attractive to Portland. Anderson and Horford might be realistic if we are willing to overpay. Let`s try Asik and Dwight together first. We might have something special and a matchup nightmare here, so let`s try to exploit it first...
Don't kid yourself. Bosh is still a great player. He's the second-best player on the Heat. He has way more value on the court and in trade than Wade does. With his body he'll be able to play at top level for another 4-5 years. If Bosh was on a different team and not willing to subjugate his game to Wade...he would easily be 23/10 along with still playing stellar stellar defense, the best defense of any 4 in the league. BOSH...is the ideal fit as a PF in our system. The problem is if he were put on the market..it would take Asik and Lin plus one of our youngsters to get him and that trade would make the Heat so tough with Asik defending and rebounding in the middle and Lin making plays on the perimeter alongside Lebron and Wade. But make no mistake about it....BOSH would be an even better fit on this Rockets team than Love would be. Because of the fact that Bosh brings it on the defensive end.
Why do u guys discuss the same question ? one by one, again after again Calm down! if there is chance to happen, it will happen; if there is not chance to happen, it will not happen
man you guys are harsh on OP. I would take any on the list for just Asik. Obviously we have to make salaries match up. But we would have to sweeten it more and than just asik to get any of the guys you list. I think we would likely have to trade at least asik lin and parsons along with whatever else to make salaries work. And I think losing asik lin and parson is too much to bear. I believe in morey and in the meantime I believe in asik
I would live to trade Lin and Asik for one of these guys but there is no way anybody is going to take both of them, because if these teams are tradin away their star they are probably tryin to rebuild and paying two players that are not superstars 40 million dollars over the next two years would be the dumbest thing they could do.
anderson saw his gf hang from the stairwell rails...his mind will be off and on this season...dont want him.
