Luxury, yes! Like I said in some other post, managing all those overlapping minutes with the guard rotations and Asik and Howard is gonna be nuts but a great problem for the coaching staff to have.
Howard said the right thing. Not like he was gonna NAME who should start to the media. He is not the coach, and it would just be stupid and rude lol

"Howard has been battling a sore hamstring"
noooo, it better be nothing serious. I want to see him and Asik already.

Lol even if Dwight had a preference, it's not like he's gonna pick one in front of the media

Well, he is responding to another poster calling another Rockets player someone's b****. Not that two wrongs make a right. This is all so tiresome.

What is Dwight supposed to do? If he says one player or the other, and then the coaching staff picks the other, Dwight looks like a fool and the "wronged" player feels dissed by Dwight.

After the last two years, I would hope Dwight has learned not to say the wrong thing to the media. The "I didnt ask for Van Gundy to be fired" debacle, or whatever it was, should have taught him that.

The three most important qualities a center wants from a pg: 1) keep the defense honest so they dont double him off the pg; 2) be a good passer who will get the ball inside; and 3) stay in front of the opposing guards so the center wont pickup cheap fouls.

Lin can do 1 and 2, not so good at #3. Beverly has shown flashes of competence in 1 & 2 and can do 3 very well when hes not overplaying his man. If bevs the starter, id give it about 5 games before we start hearing from anonymous sources that dwights not happy about his lack of touches and the crowd that surrounds him when he does

Does 1) mean a PG that keeps the defense honest by being a 3 PT threat?

Are you a butt-hurt Laker fan? That ring/b*tch argument is soo dumb. Kobe needed Dwight more than Dwight needed Kobe and Kobe was too arrogant and dumb to realize it. That's all that needs to be said.

He could have told him to shut up like another poster did, it wasn't necessary to put down another player on the team.

No matter who starts, both of the PGs are likely going to get around 25-30 minutes per game. So, it really doesn't matter all that much who gets in first as far as minutes go.

Both guys are at about the same level overall. Neither is an elite player and neither is incompetent. The team has plenty of talent so it's going to win 50+, likely 55+ games barring catastrophic injuries whichever player starts at PG.

So, the team will likely have them split the PG minutes 50-50 and play them together some. Probably the best thing for the purpose of keeping both guys g sharp while also keeping them fresh over the course of a long season.
