Whats really funny... while lil tex and the GOP try to spin Obama's popularity numbers (while ignoring the fact that Obama's popularity soars over the GOP right now), Obama isn't running for President again. And even worse news for lil tex and the GOP... the person who is way ahead in polling is another Democrat.

Must really suck to be a republican...

Reagan 17 times. Bush 7 times. Obama 5 [edit: I typed 4 earlier] times (so far).

Interesting. Politics aside, it just underlines we've had a spending problem for a long, long time.

Also interesting is that apparently only ONE other country sets a debt limit (Denmark) and they avoid political theater by adjusting it about once per generation and setting it very high.

 

The difference is that I do not insult individual posters. I'll take collective jabs at groups ("dims") and of course will insult public figures like the clown in the white house, but I don't simply lazily hurl personal insults at posters. I'll attack their ideas vehemently, but I don't hurl personal insults. The lefties on here resort to personal insults every day.

I'm better this trend kicked off with Regan. What could he have done that started us needing to raise the debt limit so often? Hmmmmm.

not an insult. I was describing how he cannot handle a credible counter point that doesn't fit his world view. An insult would be "you're a dbag" or something like that. He called me a troll in the post prior -- I didn't stoop to his level.

 

Another interesting point via CSM is that most of our debt is held by the public -- not foreign nations. I had never seen these stats. Japan holds just about as much of debt as China, but they are both dwarfed by the public. Here's the link, by the way.

I think you're confusing "insults" with "profanity." I agree that what you said was not profanity, but it is a personal insult.

So now I'm confused about your self-imposed moral code. Was your statement about losing when resorting to insults poorly worded? Or, was the wording correct and you owe B-bob an apology for the ad hominem attack?
