In October 2005, GWB's 5th year in office, he had DISAPPOVAL ratings of 58, 55, 56, and 56. That averages out to 56.25. So even with a government shutdown on his hands, this comparison (which is a stupid one to begin with) shows that less people DISAPPROVE of the job Obama is doing when comparing to GWB during the same points in thier presidencies.

Additionally, GWB's average APPROVAL rating during his second term was 37%, Obama's term average to date is 49%.

Aren't stats cool?!

Hmmm... Troll shifts thread again, this time to comparing Obama to other presidents. HINT: there is another thread doing that (pointless) exercise.

This thread is about the shutdown and debt limit crisis, which is solely a crisis of Republican GOP making. The entire planet knows this. yes, they hate Obama. But they are making the choices, against sage voices from their own party (e.g. McCain), that lead us all into this pathetic and embarrassing spectacle. It's clear that they don't even know what they want.

Yes, and the facts are that the American public believe that Obama and the Democrats are handling the debt ceiling/government shutdown issues better than the Republicans.
