<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/RhaDvQktjd0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Its crazy all the changes Morey made in order to get what we have today on the team.
I'm starting to look at different rocket teams and eras, to past times in my life. Much like when you hear an old song.
Yup. fun team to watch. Was it this year when Dragic and Lee led us back against OKC? I'm glad Morey was able to give us a contender without tanking.
Funny, as a long time fan I stopped investing my heart and soul into the Rockets around that time. I followed the team religiously but I began watching games passively. Didn't sweat losses. I knew that Morey was playing chess. That what we had on the floor was fleeting. I was biding my time. That team meant nothing to me. Chuck Hayes though, that guy I will always miss.
I'm glad Lowry and Martin are gone. That was the worst era of rockets basketball in my life. Those guys were miserable to watch
I miss this team too. Particularly how well they played together with Rick Adelman's offense. They obviously did not have the talent that this year's team has but they overachieved and played the best they could, talent wise. I would love to have C. Lee, and KLow back from that team. Of course we wouldn't have this team if we didn't trade them and the lot but KLow always played with heart that I miss a lot. But if Lee was on this team, our second unit would be a three and D powerhouse! Bev Lee Garcia Whoever on the 4 Asik
Those teams were miserable. I think ppl were depressed back then haha. So glad to have the players we have now. Morey is a genius...in two years..
Btw do prefer this current team, just really enjoyed that team. Also that was a terrific time as I was able to watch Rocket games on TV and not firstrowsports.
It's strange anyone would miss that 11/12 team. I think that was the team that had a 95% chance to make the playoffs and lost 6 or 7 in a row to miss the playoffs all together. I really disliked Kevin Martin's game even though he would fill the stat sheet, i hated the way he went about it. The Scola/Patterson 'rivalry' was fun. Patterson NEVER boxed out. Budinger was such a tease! Chandler now, is who I thought Budinger should have been with a vertical and better shot. Rockets, at one point, had a mix of Jeff Adrian, Courtney Fortson, Johnny Flynn, Terrance Williams, Haseem Thabeet, Dalembert, Jordan Hill and Earl Boykins on the roster! CHOKEney Lee!! Usually people miss the scrappy '08 team with Artest, Yao, Battier and company. The 11/12 team was a frustratingly awful squad!
