I respect your opinion. However my opinion is that your opinion, as much as respect it, is stupid. I ask that you respect my opinion.
Asking others to respect others opinion is stupid? Well I guess we just need to agree to disagree. Have a good day!
As stupid as this thread is and no matter how I think the outrage to this experiment is asinine, this was funny.
You know, given I'm the guy who posted this, you'd think I wouldn't be surprised by the sheer number of knee-jerk, derogatory responses. Or the number of responses by people who clearly didn't read the actual post. But hey, it's the internet. I probably shouldn't be surprised by anything. "I do therefore humbly offer it to public consideration that of the hundred and twenty thousand children already computed, twenty thousand may be reserved for breed, whereof only one-fourth part to be males; which is more than we allow to sheep, black cattle or swine; and my reason is, that these children are seldom the fruits of marriage, a circumstance not much regarded by our savages, therefore one male will be sufficient to serve four females. That the remaining hundred thousand may, at a year old, be offered in the sale to the persons of quality and fortune through the kingdom; always advising the mother to let them suck plentifully in the last month, so as to render them plump and fat for a good table. A child will make two dishes at an entertainment for friends; and when the family dines alone, the fore or hind quarter will make a reasonable dish, and seasoned with a little pepper or salt will be very good boiled on the fourth day, especially in winter."
Haha don't take it personally. I wasn't disagreeing with that, but that Harden should be on the bench. Actually OP wasn't even saying that, the point of the first post was the last sentence where he said "I dunno, start the best 5 players" I don't think that's necessarily stupid, however it does continue to irritate me that most LOF's can't admit that there is at least some merit to the idea of playing Lin as a 6th man where he won't have to defer to Harden. Playing them together simply doesn't maximize their specific talents. I still think he should get starters minutes, but staggered opposite Harden as much as possible.
OK, I went and read your OP. Well, the thing about bringing Harden off the bench is that coming off the bench usually means fewer minutes. For example Harden played 32 mpg 2011-2012 with the Thunder and 38 mpg last season. I want Harden playing closer to 38 minutes, because he is our best player.
A modest proposal- read the original post from the bottom up. Hint: Clutch posted on page 2 of the thread, and the thread is not locked.
lmao here is North Korean or United States? why would OP lose his thread making privilege? coz he pissed off Kim Jong Un? he has the point, although i dont think it's the best idea right now, the emergency is to develop chemistry between the 2 stars, which does not shine on last game, still too many ISOs, but it's another topic. bottom line is he has his point, if you have 2 ways to stagger play time to enrich 2nd unit offense, why not utilize both of them, all depends on match up and for the best interest of the team. if the match up is right it will work out, coach just need to fulfill starters ego and let them start and put up some wise time management. it's all for the best interest of the team, if a player's ego is so big that he refuse the arrangement, he should be the one to be questioned, not the OP, right?
