Keep in mind that sixth play more minutes than the starters at the same position, the point is for them to carry the second unit while ar rthe starters are resting. Lin would keep his mintues he just wouldn't start.

The entire night was a layup drill for the Rockets. Even if Howard didn't put up great individual numbers, the fact that Hibbert wasn't around to greet our slashers inside was more than enough. We were getting to the basket at will.

What was Lin's final stat line? I can't find an updated box score.

Just checked the Fox box score. Didn't get to see game. We shot .750 and Indiana shot .692. Seriously? So were the teams just putting on a show like at an all star game, or were they actually playing hard?

I think Howard is more comfortable finishing going left.

I rather have a 14/6/7 @ 20+ minutes than a 12/7 Lin @ 32 min. This is a good lineup for him. Being able to dish 6 assists and score 14 pts with the catastrophe that is the Houston bench at the moment speaks volume about his talent in play making.

Lin led the team in rebounds (7) and assists (6).... he shot 3/6 from the field but it should be like 6/6 as he missed lay ups on those.

Scary 2nd unit if Lin will be the 6th man with asik in the middle and dmo as the 4.

Casspi meanwhile is still impressive. His offense is really somethin.

Parsons's euro-step beginning and middle were great, but that ending looked awkward (although it did go in) :p

I missed the game. Did the first unit really click well enough with Beverley to consider Lin as a 6th man option? I think we've all known that Lin could really help out the second unit.

I noticed Howard did not score as much.

Uhh...he missed layups all the time last year. Couldn't finish worth a damn towards the end of the year/playoffs.

So Lin missed layups? Therefore the 8-8 Fox box score is wrong.

The question seems to assume that the starting lineup was the main factor in his performance. Maybe it has more to do with him going up against a strong defensive team with a great defensive center.

Never really thought to much about it but after listening to the game I like the idea.

Beverly gets to put his superior defense on what is often the teams top playmaker/scorer.

Lin gets to put his superior offense on the teams weaker defense.

I wouldn't do it if we needed offense in the starting line up but we don't. I also liked it how Parsons was the bridge between the two units often.
