Chicago was on the decline. Jordan himself admitted to being mentally drained. They needed a couple years off to refresh themselves and add some different pieces (eg Rodman, Harper).
Not to mention the Rockets had like a 5-1 record against the championship Bulls or something like that. It really is a shame that Michael left the game and that they didn't make the finals in '95. I truly believe Hakeem would have ascended to the top 7 of all time (in the class with Abdul-Jabaar, Wilt, Russell, Jordan, Bird and Magic) if he had been the one to take down Jordan.

Yes Chicago had no answer for Hakeem.....but Houston had had zero answer for Jordan or Pippen. Im a Rockets fan but im also realistic. We wouldve got swept...one gm at the most
