Agreed, as long as he does it within a reasonable boundary. Unless Dwight and Lin really start to click on court, Mac will allow Bev to play more minutes than last year. I see Lin playing around 30 minutes per game this year. If there is a relatively big lead, Mac will have Bev on court, and if it is a close game going into 4th, Mac will have Bev on court. Basically, damned if you do and damned if you don't situation for Lin. Only when Rockets are losing going into 4th, Mac will be motivated to put Lin on court.

I think if you base what you think McHale might do based on last year, your assumptions are probably right. But with adding Dwight, Lin's offseason improvements, and the quotes that McHale have given so far, there really is no reason to believe he will stick with what he did last year. He knows that Lin is healthy this year, has improved his shooting, and has a higher skill set offensively than Bev. We will have to see if Bev's on the ball defense intrigues McHale so much that he still prefers it over what Lin brings to the table.

Anyone not name D'antoni or Kobe is a big reason for D12. Harden, Parsons, Houston, etc. are all better reasons.

Casspi doesn't make a single shot in this entire video! How is he still on the roster?!

Who's going to be running the second unit's offense in practice? Because Beverley certainly isn't capable of it. With J Lin the second unit can at least compete with the first unit offensively and the team can have productive scrimmages.

Nothing to cry foul about LOF's.

Good observation. Also, if you think about it this isn't a bad deal for Lin. He gets to scrimmage against the top tier players of the team.
