I have an iphone 4. My iphone 5S silver just came in the mail today. I have no desire to even turn it on. I think I am going to just return it. Does anyone know if there's a restocking fee or anything?
I just thought in case I wanted it..I didn't want to wait another month. Plus I am seeing more iOS 7 on other phones and I have no desire to use it. The 5S looks so skinny compared to the 4 but in reality it's just a little taller. I think it's time to make a list of apps I use and see how windows phone 8 stacks up.
Coming from an iPhone 4 the improvements would be dramatic. And besides the battery life hit, I'm enjoying iOS 7. A lot of much needed additions. But there's nothing wrong with trying other phones as well.
I find it a little better, but mostly just typing. I have a nexus 7 and have spent some time with Windows phone. Of the three I find Windows keyboard typing the best. Autocorrect can be hit or miss on all of them. Android's text selection/cut and paste is terrible though so even with the different keyboard options it's my least favorite.
Settings App -> General -> Keyboard Disable "Auto-Correction" and anything else you can think annoys you or that you can't figure out how to prevent. OR You can always press the x on the suggestion or look at the text BEFORE you send it. People who complain that this feature makes them type incorrectly are lazy. Anything else I can help you with?
But I need it to correct some of the time.. I know about the X. lol...i have only been using iOS for 4 years straight. I just wish the word suggest just popped up on the top..and I had the option to select it. not just automatically replace my typed word.
I feel like I agree with this... BUT, to be fair, I really am not sure about how often I am being correctly corrected. I see it sometimes, but not all the time. I wonder if your solution woudl be equally annoying? At a minimum, it should be an option. The problem I'm finding with ios7 keyboard change the most is that it feels like the space bar isn't as wide, so I'm hitting the period button a lot, lot more... which is very annoying.
By default, the dictionary is correct on the "auto-correct" words, but it will only start adding "incorrect" words (according to you) if you have accepted these as correct in the past. For example: If I type "SwoLy" and the auto-correct shows me "swirly", I must click the X a few times before it stops asking me if "SwoLy" should be corrected. Otherwise, it will always correct them for you because you refuse to refuse its suggestion and what's correct will become what ISN'T correct. Don't let a device make you lazy. Again, don't be lazy. PROOFREAD your message or text before you press "send" or "submit."
Didn't want to make another thread about this, but wondering if anyone else got an email about this settlement regarding the original iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch. https://www.applewarrantysettlement.com/home.aspx http://slickdeals.net/f/6310036-app...g-3gs-ipod-touch-various-generations-upto-300
I got excited that I could cash in my busted up 16 GB OG iPhone for $300, but then realized I needed to have been denied warranty which never happened. This will maybe help out a handful of people who meet all that criteria.
I have like thousands of friends on my Facebook. How do I remove them from my contacts. Help me out. - a teenage girl.
5s - the past two nights when I sleep, I wake up to my phone automatically completely turned off. Why??
