Lakers have only 8 games though. Where are you getting 10?

Lakers have 8 games left (including the one they are playing now).

They've already played 2 games and are currently playing their 3rd game.

If you are looking at their schedule on their website, for some reason it automatically removes the games they have already played.

Click "October" and it will show you all 10 preseason games.

    Because
    (1) You need the other teams to want to play against you,
    (2) You would also need to agree dates and fit the schedule of both teams,
    (2) You need to consider the budget you have to spend,
    (3) You have other things to do in preseason beside playing preseason games - like actually training your players, coaching them on sets, checking on their weaknesses, develop their potential etc.
    (4) You also have other commitments - the causes your team supports, media events, promotional activities with sponsors etc.

In fact, it is quite normal that they have different number of preseason games - my question is why do you think that the teams should have the same number of preseason games?

Why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near?

Why do stars fall down from the sky every time you walk by?
