Stay with me on this... Current situation: Texans 2-3 (1-0 division) Colts 4-1 (1-0 division) Week 6: Texans win vs. Rams Colts lose @ Chargers Week 7: Texans win @ Chiefs (don't laugh, the Chiefs SOS to date has been pathetic) Colts lose vs. Broncos Week 8: Bye for both teams Week 9: Texans (4-3, 1-0 div) host Colts (4-3, 1-0 div) on Sunday Night Football. This game will very likely decide the AFC South. While I'm very pessimistic about the Texans this year, I'm refusing to throw in the towel until week 9. If any of you want to hold onto hope with me until then, join in!
It's the NFL, take it week by week. It certainly can be a huge game. If Schaub doesn't turn it around though the Texans are losing against the Rams...who are also 2-3
Pretty sure the colts will beat the chargers. They are playing well. Texans pretty sure are underdogs in almost every game here on out with schaub as our QB.
I'm sticking to it, too. Doesn't mean I like it, I'm just being practical. And I promise not to say I told you so when it happens (like some here who seem to get off on that kind of thing...). I can't see the colts losing to the chargers. And right now, I can't see us beating the chiefs. Plus, we still have the broncos and pats on our schedule. Take a look at the colts schedule after they play the broncos. Also, see who they play on the last day of the season, in case it comes down to that......
The Chargers will be slight favorites vs. the Colts. The Texans are heavy favorites over the Rams. I think it will come down to whether the Chiefs are for real or not. I would kill to see this scenario happen.
Colts won't lose to the Chargers, they'll win the division and beat us. I still have hope for the season as a fan but I'm also not blind. Let's face it they're a younger team starting to believe, we're an old team falling apart. I wouldn't be so quick to count the rams game as a win, the way this offense is going the game will end 6-3 st louis.
I'll admit that on paper it looks like a perfect storm for total humiliation. But my point in making this thread is that everyone who wants to jump off the bandwagon now is doing themselves a disservice. There's at least 3 weeks worth of reasonable hope left to squeeze out of this turd of a season before Luck comes in and flushes it all down the crapper.
I'm not saying Indy can't win, or that them winning would be improbable. The line is close for a reason.
Those are all very big reaches for predictions, but I agree that the season is far from over. I expect that the Colts game will define our season one way or another. The Chiefs are +10 in turnover differential and with the way we have been coughing up the ball, that is a perfect storm for disaster for our offense. Even if we go into the Colts game at 3-4 vs 4-2, it's still huge.
