MadMax, you need to cheer harder for Matt, it is clearly your fault he is playing so poorly.

    opinion? That's no opinion; that's a fact.

Not even Tom Brady or Peyton Manning or Troy Aikman or John Elway or Trent Dilfer or Jim McMahon can win a SuperBowl.

    Teams win SuperBowls.

    (duh...)

I love this line. It's so... realistic. I'm going to call McNair into my office right now dammit! You'd better toe the line you numbskull! Your ass is hanging by a thread, and I'm about to cut it loose!

Nah, we'll "hold the organization accountable" by buying less beer or watching golf on NBC instead of football on CBS. Or skipping the game and pretending there aren't 700,000 other people in SE Texas who'd love to go to an NFL game.

    Yeah, that'll work.

Think so. A few posters have suggested Wade (career HC failure) Phillips.

Texans need something fresh (Pagano) or someone who's won (Gruden).

Like Rick Adelman & Brad Miller....

Seriously, I was stoked about this upcoming season. I was really looking forward to a long Texans playoff run, & I won't lie...I was thinking Super Bowl, but in the last few weeks I have been truly devastated at the play of our 'beloved leader'.

This is coming from an Aussie that has to usually wake up at 3am on a Sunday night/ Monday morning to stream the games...I feel gutted.

I would rather Tim Tebow or Vince Young at this stage, at least there would be an excuse if they threw an NFL record 4 or 5 pick six's in consecutive games.

Think about that...an NFL RECORD for sucking. Think about it again...in the entire history of the NFL no quarterback has consecutively gifted the opposition defence a Touchdown of an interception. Why is that?

I'm going to call it how I see it, Schaub is playing terrible football at the moment...even the comeback wins had a huge element of luck involved. He needs to get it together, & quick. When Schaub is playing great, he is awesome. When he is playing just good...he is average.

I'm so pee'd off, it's nearly 1am Down Under and I'm ranting about my favorite NFL team throwing away their season!!!

I feel like flying over to the Lone Star State just to kick Kubiak's butt & tell Schaub to pull his finger out.

This next game could be make or break...and here I was thinking of Home Field advantage.
With Kubiak & Schaub running the show the way they have been, we'd be lucky to get a wildcard. A shame considering the hard work & effort put forth by our Defence.

I have had plenty of arguments over what QB I would rather have between Schaub and Tony Romo and people here in Houston literally argue me down telling me that Schaub is the better Quarterback. Romo might make his mistakes at more crucial times but he is still the better Quarterback

At the moment my mum is a better QB than Schaub.

I'm bummed but take a little solace in the fact that they are only one game away of where they should be, i.e. 3-2. Then again, maybe I don't have as bad of a taste in my mouth since I wasn't able to watch the last 2 games due to travel schedule.

Schaub is certainly on tilt, big time, and I'm hoping it's just a fluke/bad stretch that he can shake off and not a more complete and total burnout as a player.

I did find one discussion on tendencies pretty interesting the other day on the radio. Kubes certainly likes his plays and teams have seen them for a long time now, but then again, most teams/coaches have their same tendencies and manage not to have 4 pick 6's in 5 games.

Now that I've had a day to soak all this in, I'm still pretty pessimistic about this season....

    BUT.......

When we beat SL on Sunday, we will be 3-3. 2 years ago, we started 3-3 and ended up winning the next 7 games and the division title. Of course, that was the year the colts went 2-14, so winning the division this year is going to be a LOT tougher.

I still think this season can be salvaged, though. But unlike the last couple of years, we are going to need lots of help from other teams. We need some of these potential WC teams to cool off and come back down to earth soon.

The Astros winning a World Series before the Texans or Rockets win a championship.
