There are so many good QBs, I almost want to draft 3 of them.

Wow. Carr from Fresno State. Could you imagine if we actually picked him?

    D. Carr from Fresno State. It would be like reliving a nightmare.

Even Wilson is struggling...it's just being masked because the team is 4-1. His Jacksonville game really boosted his stats, but he's been very mediocre otherwise. He has a negative passing grade on the year from profootball focus.

The thing that strikes me most about Mariota is his poise. He never gets flustered in the pocket. He doesn't scramble to run, but to buy time for his receivers. He will often turn it upfield looking like he's going to run, then at the last minute fire it down field. He is unflappable. And as good as his numbers are, you can't compare them to other QBs because he plays only 2 1/2 quarters per game. He's only played the entire game 4 times in his career.

Wilson is also playing with backup o-line men

if Wilson is "struggling" then so is Andrew Luck

I would to love to get a mobile quarterback that could really open up our play-action offense. In our drafting range, I agree with many others that Mariota is very intriguing.

I gotta go with Boyd, though. Has a cannon for an arm, and he's mobile as well. Plus he already has strong chemistry with Hopkins.

    This.

The read-option was a flash in the pan. NFL defenses have adjusted.

Wait until Crabtree and Manningham come back, plus when Davis gets healthy. This team will be different by Week 10/11

exactly. And look at the poor performance of Kaepernick, Wilson, RGIII, etc.

Teams seem to be moving away from the read-option completely; the Seahawks, 49ers and Redskins seem to be running it much less than they did last year.

But mobile quarterbacks are still extremely valuable (if they can pass in the pocket). Luck and Rodgers are the best examples.

Ok, well, the Texans have been terrible in pass protection all season...that doesnt excuse Schaub at all.

Fact of the matter is that Wilson has taken a step back from last season. There is almost no arguing it...the eye test as well as advanced statistics show this to be the case.

Not sure what Andrew Luck has to do with anything.

Hey! Don't say that! We used to say that about wide receiver, and now he have that guy that Matt Schaub doesn't try to throw to.

RG3 has been, especially in the first half. Wilson had been mediocre passing the ball but awesome when it comes to escaping pressure and picking up yards.

Kaep has a pretty small sample size, so it's tough to objectively grade him. Barely threw the ball agains the Texans and Rams, dominated the Packers and got dominated by the Seahawks. I would have to put him at average thus far.

We just need a guy that can accurately read defenses and respond with audibleing into a better situation.

Arm has almost no positive on his side, the best thing (his "accuracy") has been near non-existent this year.

As long as we get someone that has more positives than negatives and also can translate what's between his ears onto the field, we will be in good shape. If not.... we F****D.
