He's not stupid. Fans will not fall for it. They'll stay outside and tailgate, they won't wear the gear as much, they won't buy more Texans stuff. It's a domino effect and McNair will notice. At least that's my hope.

    KEO > Reed

    Keenum > Yates > Schaubotage

    When will this get finalized?

    Goodnight.

The Texans are 4-8 over their last 12 games.

    :(

I'm not sad anymore. I was sad when we lost to Baltimore. Angry when we lost to Seattle. Now I'm just shaking my head and laughing at the Texans.

Don't forget we were only a couple plays away from being 0-5 too.

Earliest that can happen is next year's draft IMO. There isn't anyone out there to be had via trade.

Counting overtime in last week’s loss to Seattle, the Texans have scored three points in their last seven quarters.............. hahahahaha.

I can't take the Texans seriously anymore. QB position needs to be dealt ASAP. Or else this team will be a bust this year, and Houston fans are only going to get more violent week after week.

I still have hope, not with Schaub tho..... I really hope Andre gets a title someday before he retires. Along with the rest of the hard working team of the Texans. Schaub/Kubiak/Bob are ruining everything!

I'm a New Orleans fan, just love Drew Brees and what he did with that city, I've been trying to follow the Texans more and more, but I can't help but despair for the team, especially with someone like Watt who pours his heart and soul into the team. Even at his best, the team can't win it with him, and this faltering, shell of a QB just simply has to go.

Houston will never see a winner until fans here start holding organizations accountable. Right now, most of you don't.

Mediocrity is not good enough. But most Houstonians accept it and willingly support it.

I totally agree. Houston is a bad sports town.

If it wasn't for Hakeem, the Rockets would have been the same way.

Hakeem's supporting cast was junk throughout most of his career.
When Yao and Tracy were paired, there supporting cast was junk.
The Oilers choked and then bailed.
The Astros have only made it to the world series once.
The Texans have been mediocre at best. The only reason they have clinched the division the last two years is because the division has been weak.

Houstonian's have a passive mentality when it comes to sports.

Here's a terrifying thought, JJ Watt jumping ship and signing with the Colts.

    Would you blame him?

Whats the difference between the Rockets vs Texans?

    Rockets overachieve while Texans underachieve

    Rockets -
Yao Ming/TMac era STILL made playoffs when there were constantly injuries
Lead Lakers to 7 games in Semi Finals with basically just Artest
Suppose to be a lotto team last year, but made the playoffs

    Texans-
Those 8-8 seasons should of been in the 10s with Ws
Took Andre Johnson into TWO playoffs games, just TWO. (EMBARRASSING)
Look at this season underachieving again

If he did that then I don't know if I could remain a Texan's fan. The Colts would own the division for another decade or so and the Texans would just suck and relocate and change their name.

    I disagree.

Back in the 80s, the Oilers used to have hell selling out the dome and blackouts were a constant source of frustration.

The Rockets only sellout when the team is winning consistently.

And look at how little support the Astros are getting. Almost zilch.

But McNair has enjoyed more leeway than any other owner, and it's made him lazy. He's more interested in installing giant video screens in Reliant (so he can sell more ad space) than in holding his team accountable.

I realize that the tickets have already been sold. McNair has that money and he's not giving it back, but a half empty stadium would still get his attention, but fans will show up anyway and boo, but I don't think McNair cares if fans boo their lungs out as long as they wash away that dry throat with a cold beer afterwards.

In short, it's a rich man's world and we're just living in it.

    PS, Schaub stinks.

I agree with your point that the unknown is better than the known right now. Not that I'm a crazy Case fan but we kind of known what Yates can do so I think I would like like to see Case get a shot at qb,

This season could get ugly really quick.

Fire Kubiak, keep Wade on D.

Trade Schaub in the summer. Draft a QB. Tajh Boyd, Mariota.

Maybe Uncle Bob will wake up tomorrow and fire Kubiak. I seriously doubt he wants to pay two coaches, though, because times are tough these days. A billion dollars doesn't go as far as it used to.

NOOOOO. This is one of my worst fears. McNair replaces Kubiak with Phillips.

Wade at HC equals years of mediocrity and underachievement. He's already proven himself.

    The problem is two-fold...

    1) The number of non-Houston-born people who live here

    2) The city's horrible history of sports failure

Mainly the latter. Houston has some of the WORST sports moments/games EVER. If not for Hakeem, we'd be Cleveland. Scratch that.... "if not for MJ retiring, we'd be worse than CLE."

Our best memories are a team that not only NEVER won a ship.... but never even played in a SB. Pathetic
