You honestly think he'd day something else right after a game? Every coach would say he is the starter. Is whether or not they make a change down the road is he continues to struggle.
It's not the first time a team has had to admit a nice guy is a crappy coach or a crappy QB. But if you're not willing to admit the fact, you're screwed.
It would be awesome if Kubes busted out an "it's on me" and McNair walks up and fires him on the spot.
I was referring to the tweet that said Kubes was gonna start Matt next week. As in another pick 6? But technically I do consider the san diego pick a pick 6 lol
But we are not talking about the Rockets. Do you think McNair made the right decisions by extending Kubiak and giving Schaub the big lucrative contract? The record for the last two seasons looks good until you examine it closely. There were clear indications of problems in the midst of "division titles" and beating the Bengals twice. The two late season collapses, the melt downs in primetime, and the major blow outs by the elite QBs. made it clear enough that Schaub and Kubiak are over matched and now the team is in trouble.
next 4; St Louis, at KC, Indy, at Arizona Among the last 7; Denver, New England, Colts(again), Oakland, Tennessee, Jacksonville(twice) How many more wins do you guys give them out of those? My high point is 6-5, low is 3-8
This team is a joke. The leadership attitude trickles down. The moment Schaub threw the first interception. He should have realized that his confidence is still weary. Putting in TJ Yates at the end when you have no chance is a joke. Kubiak you have this team a laughing stock of the league. We just got called out on national stage. Good luck getting prime time games next season! Colts have got the AFC South division for the next decade... Its pathetic Texans.
guys this is a good thing, it means we don't have to invest time/emotion into this team now we know for certain there is no hope until there is a coach and/or QB change
What was the 2nd late season collapse? Last year was the late season collapse, the year before that they were trading wins for players and fought hard. It was their most inspiring season yet and they were a Jacoby Jones muffed punt away from going to the AFCCG. If there was any season that Kubiak could lean on it would be that one. They have won primetime games as well. People seem to just always forget the ones they win. Last year they had a problem with Brady and Rogers but that's not really surprising. The offense has been pretty average these last few years and this year it's been bad...
For the past year-and-a-half, I have supported Matt Schaub, not because he was playing well (he wasn't) but because I thought it wasn't his fault. And, actually, it really wasn't. Schaub is the type of quarterback that's dependent on his offensive line. He has absolutely no athleticism, so when the line sucks, he sucks. But this game finally broke my mindset. The line was terrific, opening up large amounts of running room for Foster and holding back the 49ers relentless pass-rush, giving Schaub ample enough time to find his receivers. But Schaub still threw the game away, and there is no one to blame but himself. Just a horrible, horrible game from throwing the ball to reading coverage to reacting to pressure. Schaub's self-confidence his shattered and he will never be what he once was. It's time to move on.
