TNA freaking sucks...it's a poor WCW in the latter years when WWE started kicking their ass. I tried giving it a watch about a month ago and it was awful.
Bump for Battleground Card + my picks: WWE Title: Bryan vs. Orton - Orton CM Punk vs. Ryback - Ryback WHC: RVD vs. Alberto del Rio - RVD Cody Rhodes/Goldust vs. Reigns/Rollins - Cody/Goldy Diva's Title: AJ vs. Brie Bella - AJ Bray Wyatt vs. Kofi Kingston - Wyatt Dolph Ziggler vs. Damien Sandow - Ziggler IC Title: Curtis Axel vs. R-Truth - Axel No match for Ambrose and Big Show ALSO, interesting read on the state of CHIKARA: http://www.housetoastonish.com/?p=2056
It's disappointing on WWE management for booking two of their best stars, Ziggler and Sandow, by putting them in a dark match and not on PPV.
I'm watching it counting on something interesting/storyline-shifting happening. It seems like it's usually PPVs like this where the drama happens.
Yes, Layla has a better body, but AJ is a better total package. And laps the rest of the women as a complete performer.
yeah, i love her crazy gimmick too.makes her even hotter..and yeah layla is definitely close second for me. i liked it when she had those curls/fro
PPV lacked as a whole, but there were some positives. Del Rio and RVD had the match of the night. They have been able to keep their feud fresh and utilized the hardcore aspect of there match properly. This should be considered a big deal (but won't) for Del Rio as he won a hardcore match against ECW original RVD. The end spot was perfect in their match. Outside of that match, Cesaro and Cody Rhodes are your other standouts. All Cesaro does is prove night in and night out that he has the best combination of power and technical ability but it gets him nowhere. Rhodes is on the cusp of getting over as a face with the crowd and last night he put on a great performance. The intensity and emotion with which he hit Cross Rhodes on Rollins was great. If booked properly here in the remainder of 2013, Rhodes can become a main eventer in 2014.
Sources at the Battleground PPV said that folks were chanting "Refund" at the finish. And I'm pretty certain that just like last month for Night of Champions when WWE had to shell out refunds to displeased customers who ordered the PPV, its going to happen again. WWE is truly in a slump right now and the finish shows that they wish this PPV didnt exist. It was an episode 50 dollar episode of RAW. I'm already certain that the buyrate for the PPV was at an all-time low because the card was just blah. Now on top of that, you crap on the people who actually were dumb enough to shell out the dough with a non-finish. This is truly going to hurt them. They are murdering the Bryan momentum that he gained after beating Cena at Summerslam. It actually seems like ancient history now. And the sad thing is, when Bryan actually captures the title, the reaction will be dimishinished because of this weak angle and this switcheroo crap they've been pulling.
Guess they need better writers. Shouldn't this actually be in the Hangout? Sports don't have script. [ducks flying metal chair]
