Hey guys, thought I'd start a thread for you all to to make one prediction that is unlikely to actually happen this season, but isn't totally beyond the realms of possibility. It can be either a player or team thing as long as its rockets specific. I'll start with Dwight posting a triple-double at some stage with assists hitting double digits, yes it's unlikely but his passing looks crisp and our perimeter guys will attack the cup when he's doubled
Here's a bold prediction. Dwight Howard will play score a lot of points, block a lot of shots, and get a ton of rebounds!
It's pretty cool that those are realistic goals that could happen with hard work. It feels good for someone to say that and it not feel like a joke. This team has a chance to be the best team in the nba. Dwight Howard is a franchise saver/changer just like Lebron. Whatever team a player like him goes to they become instant contenders. James harden assuming his defense is forreal could be the 3rd best player in the game by years end and join the elite Lebron, Durant class. There's nothing he can't do on the court and were very lucky to have him for his whole career. I'm looking forward to this season so much with the glimpse we saw last night the sky really is the limit.
Asik will suck it up and stay back-up C for rest of the year Camby will not play a single minute for the Rockets while being on the team Lin will improve in every single statistical category Dwight will average 24-12-5-3 (Points, Rebounds, Assists, Blocks) Dwight will average 70% on FT shooting Casspi will be our top scorer off the bench Harden's PPG, steals, assists and rebounding will go down Rockets will be #1 in: Fast break points per game, PPG, rebounds per game Rockets will have 3 All-Stars Rockets will finally break their franchise record 57 wins in a season Rockets will finish top 3 in WC Rockets will win the Division
We'll win 50 games no matter what happens with the PG and PF minutes look like and everyone here is making a mountain out of a molehill.
Beverley will injure at least 2 more players this year Dwight FTs will be in the 55% range Harden will sit out for 20 games this season Parsons will have a break out year in efficiency (50% fg, 40% 3pster, 80% fts) Asik will complain during the midseason about lack of playing time Dwight will have a Rox cheerleader as a baby mama
lol extremely optimistic. you have to have some sense of realistic expectations. this is what sets up huge disappointments
