That move by DMo was against a double team and was pretty sick. Another half-inch and it would have went in. DMo appears to be working out with Dream every practice session.
This article has been picked apart already on this board. The guy has many factual inaccuracies. For instance, Hakeem customizes the workouts to the players physical attributes and talents, and it is not cookie cutter like the blogger claims. Secondly, you can see the difference Hakeem has made in Dwights and Dmo's game already. Its ridiculous for someone to say his workouts aren't worth it when he has the facts just wrong.
Sounds like a hater to me. If Dream played in one of BSPN's glamor cities, there would be less negative things mentioned about his trainings nationally. They'd be praising it. It's a partially accurate case to make but to say a person can't learn anything from Jordan, Magic, Bird, would be idiotic.
Its not only the coaching/advising thingy that he brings, but together will with huge morale boost to the players as well. How could one dismiss that?!
The article is simply a ignorant piece of crap. Just because your training with Dream doesn't mean he's necessarily teaching you the dreamshake. He's a bigman coach. Plus Dream had WAY more moves than just the dreamshake he could teach. I think Dream's sessions teach the principals of balance and footwork. The Dream shake is only one move of many other players can use
Donatas is definitely going to benefit the most from training with Hakeem. He already has sweet footwork in the post, Dream will be able to tweak it and give him more secondary moves. I expect the most dramatic improvements in the low post game will be seen from D-Mo. Now if he can just improve on D.
Theres a difference between workig out a few days with hakeem and having him there every practice. It will really benifet all the team over time.
Good post OP I think Carroll Dawson can probably be a better instrcutor than Hakeem As you know when you guys take classes in college, the best teachers may not always be the best at operating in the field Good teaching requires strong communication skills, preparation and knowledge

I know what you're saying, being an active poster really takes a lot of time. That's why even though I've been reading occasionally since the early 2000s, I haven't been active. But sometimes just need to take a break!
People see Hakeem talking in the video. What they aren't showing you is what really goes on. The real schooling. Hakeem probably out classes them one on one for a large chunk of it.
My personal opinion is that if you want to learn anything new, you have to work on it and on it until it becomes a habit. Just like a jump shot, or new shooting mechanisms. Or footwork and Dream shakes. Off-season training with Hakeem is only an eye-opener for players, but how often and how much do they practice what Hakeem teaches them during the season to make it a habit or second nature? The good thing with Hakeem's permanent post with the Rockets for most of the season, he can correct and teach all season long to make what the players learn a habit. And only when that happens, can you correctly judge Hakeem's values as a teacher.
