Didn't watch the game but I just saw the highlights on NBA.com...lol at Jrue getting ****ted on by Bev in the span of 3 minutes.

Not sure DMo will end up starting, but TJ is a better shot blocker than DMo and would fit better next to Asik who doesn't protect the rim as well as Howard.

To be fair, I went too hard on Moti. His bricks did indeed seem horrible but overall his game was ok, just could not score.

By the way, if John Starks' career can be ruined by a couple of missed freethrows, surely Jrue Holiday's career is over now that Beverley STOLE HIS SOUL.

A fair assessment. The Rockets starting lineup needs little from the PF spot other than adequate defense and enough of a threat from the three point line to hold their defender. Lin, Parsons, Howard and Harden will get their 70+ points a night when they are playing 30+ minutes each. I may be wrong, but it should be fascinating to watch.

The biggest thing that excites me apart from Dwights immediate contribution and meshing and Casspi's beautiful efficiency and scoring....

is the Harden/Beverly/Lin guard-trio for their defense.

I really saw Harden make an effort on D, and with so much offense there doesn't need to be much effort from him on offense.

the beautiful PnR from Harden/Lin to Dwight just makes me overjoyed.

Needless to say, offense is NOT a problem. never has been, never will be. Need that perimeter D with guards hustling to work well.

You don't have to qualify your statement. That's also what I saw and I'm sure what the majority here saw. It's just the debate won't die down because of what Young Bev is doing out there. Our pg position is set. It may definitely not be fair, but the person I will blame most if we do not do well would be McHale. That's how talented and driven I think our boys are. I hope and believe Macs gonna do it for us this year, not that it's a given the boys will continue to perform.

The forcing of the alley-oops and feeding Dwight is all good, imo. It'll work out as the season comes along and I hope Lin will keep tossing it up there till he gets a feel for it again. He's rusty after last year, lol.

Asik will not sulk, from what I know of Omer. In fact, he must've seen how much we missed him out there. Once you know your role is needed, players will be content. If he's ambitious, that's a great thing in my opinion.

I wasn't referring to +/-, I was just referring to how the team fares when he touches the ball. I'll give him a pass tonight, as I am all the other poor performing players because it's one preseason game, but he needs to improve. He is not "solid" IMO.

We are in "win-now" mode, this is not the time to try and develop someone with potential. Give me someone who's producing and contributing now.

You must have not seen the game. We had brewer, Canaan, Covington closing out the game with a lead. We did what we had to do and the record is irrelevant here. We don't want to play too hard before the first game starts. Soon we will see spurts of Howard and Omer as well as Lin-Bev and if we do what we did today during the preseason our season is gonna be great.

Yeah, I think the fact that the Rox played horrible on defensive tonight w/out Dwight will get Asik to thinking, "hey, these guys really need me".

Yeah. That's what I saw as well. We clearly missed Omer though granted we were only cruising. I got my Harden juking and dropping 3s like a boss fix, I got my Lin pging fix, I got my Bev terrorizing fix, and my Parsons filling all the holes and coming up with big plays fix. 'Twas a good night. Anyone who says otherwise can kiss my @&&... er.. beard.

Let me just say something here. I've watched nearly all DMo's Eurobasket league games from this summer, and then also his practice videos...and he has not once airballed a three or hit the backboard like he did tonight. It's obvious that the guy is nervous. Guess what? he's a 22 year old Euro, he should be nervous! Other nervous 22 year olds include Robert Covington and Isaiah Canaan. As the season goes on DMo's confidence will improve and those shots will start going in.
