He's 22 years old. Guess who else is 22 years old? Covington and Canaan. Yeah, cruficy the youngsters who are still learning. And big men especially take time to develop. Remember Yao????

well thats mostly cuz Rose wasnt there.

my predictions for All stars this year

    Western Conference
Chris Paul, James Harden, Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, Dwight Howard
Russell Westbrook, Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Blake Griffin, Marc Gasol
    Stephen Curry, Lamarcus Aldridge,

    Eastern Conference
Derrick Rose, Dwayne Wade, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Andrew Bynum
Rajon Rondo, Kyrie Irving, Paul George, Josh Smith, Joakim Noah
    Deron Williams, Chris Bosh

man Western Conference is going to murder the Eastern Conference

Harden's defense stuck out to me.

    TJones also looked really good.

Lin and Bev combo is very solid (I love having both these guys in the rotation).

Dwight looks like Dwight (still not quite Orlando Dwight yet though).

DMo, I can see he is bigger and I am sure his skills have improved, but he is always off balance.. Even when the dude walks he looks clumsy. I am not sure how this can be fixed, but if he needs to make his moves slower or just become more athletic, I hope he does. So much potential there.

I am torn with who our last two cuts are going to be. My guess is either one of Reggie Williams/Correy Brewer and Camby/Smith. Hopefully we can trade away some of our talent that we plan to cut instead of just letting it walk. But damn.. It is nice to see the Rockets looking so sharp so early.

I agree coach allowed him to be the PG when he was on court tonight. He was definitely trying to find his teammates more than to look for himself. A few times he would have shoot the ball himself if he was in NY. Like I said, he finished well at the rim. He forced a couple of alley oops maybe (I did not have a clear view on my stream). All in all, he played well and in control. I just do not think there is much wiggle room for him sadly. He is not allowed to make mistakes and he is got to be more and more efficient in limited game time.

    His defense really improved.

Wish he wasn't subbed that early, there were moments where he looked kinda lost.

I should add Reggie Williams too as an option.

And it looks like we'll not be trading Asik anytime soon. We were clobbered without Howard out there.

D-Mo played good defense tonight. Two defensive mix ups on the PnR with Harden. He was outclassed on the defensive switch to a guard once or twice. Heck there is not a seven footer in the league (OK maybe Drummond, but he is a freak of nature) that can stay with a 6'2" NBA guard. He played within himself, passed to the stars at every opportunity, and pulled down 6 rebounds with three assists. Of course the coaching staff could have a completely different view.

Not a chance IMHO. I know you prefer somebody else at the 4 for some reason but TJones was someone who stood out at the Summer league and the training camp so far.
Coachbadlee is right about one thing.
Jones will be a good player in this league if nothing grand happens.

A shallow opinion not backed up by any stats or for that matter facts. You could be called the detritus of the BBS.

People who want to dump Asik should get their heads examined.

Guess what? We have two young power forwards who have a lot of potential. And then we have the wildcard--Casspi!!

The ball and body movement of the starting 5 was AWESOME. That unit is IN SNYC.

Keep in mind folks that the coaches aren't necessarily looking for a star at the starting PF position. They are probably looking more for someone that can make life easier on the star players, and get them easier shots.

The 3 main key areas that PF needs to be excellent at is passing (especially in the post), help defense, and being able to space the floor. Tonight D-Mo showed that he could at least do 2 out of 3.

I think Jones is by far the superior talent right now, but I like the fact that he can be aggressive offensively coming off the bench, and he doesn't take away touches from the starters coming off the bench.

I think Jones deserves a shot at starting a few games here in the preseason though just as Casspi might also have earned a chance, but I actually liked what I saw from D-Mo tonight when playing with the starters. Just needs to fix that corner 3. If he can't keep the defense honest with it, he's out. Teams will scout them eventually and figure that out pretty quick.

My expectations for him were pretty low, and he has actually exceeded what I thought he could be initially, but for people to act like starting Beverly is totally outrageous is just silly... But I mean it really doesn't matter who starts cause we all know Lin isn't going to finish the game.

Wow. Did not D-Mo dominate the D-League last season? And you reference the Summer League? I am afraid that those faint praises do your hero no justice. And if that sentence was above you, try referencing his college stats. They mean about as much to his NBA career.

Cut Reggie Williams ? We didn't see Reggie at all tonight, I say at least give him some time to prove himself.

Jones doesn't seem to fit to me, he plays, but he just seems to be a guy who more wants to be "The guy" than one who is willing to subjegate himself for the good of the team.

Dmo looks like he is trying harder to fit in with the stars, he looks to make plays for them, and at the end of the day - that is probably better for our team overall.

Just be a complimentary player - that is what we need at PF.
