Interesting. If you knowingly wrote the entire TV off while also using it for personal use, you've committed tax fraud. Amusing to see a criminal complain about other people abusing the system.

    Exactly.

Most "loopholes" are that the IRS can't enforce all the laws, not legitimate loopholes, which tend to be more specific and generally apply to larger entities.

Even the stuff you deduct legally is generally things employer provided. Computers, legit business meals, mileage reimbursement, etc.

Any other Independents or Republicans tired of the same old hissy fit the members of the house (GOP) are doing? I am, they need to move on and accept the democratic process of having the ACA funded, since its the law of the land. If the ACA fails it will be on the Democrats, if it succeeds and actually helps resolve some health care issues for the mass population of this nation, Well Obama and the Democrats will be held in high regard for its success. While the RHINOs in GOP well be eating crow and hopefully lose even more influence in both the House and Senate.

This is why they go scorched earth on this. The law will work, not as well as single payer, but it will reduce costs and expand coverage. The Republicans painted themselves in a corner on this with the continual anti-Obama meme. Once he abandoned the public option and pre-conceded to their original healthcare scheme, there was really nothing to argue.

At this point, the leadership is legitimately concerned the public might wake up on this and give all the credit to democrats leading to years of democratic electoral success.

    Bill Kristol:
Democratic efforts to reform the private health insurance system, a popular goal in 1993, should be painted as a massive government takeover that will interfere with every patient's relationship with his or her doctor and doom us all to inadequate care, Kristol wrote. For Republicans, the "long-term political effects of a successful Clinton healthcare bill will be even worse--much worse," he said. "It will relegitimize middle-class dependence for 'security' on government spending and regulation. It will revive the reputation of the party that spends and regulates, the Democrats, as the generous protector of middle-class interests. And it will at the same time strike a punishing blow against Republican claims to defend the middle class by restraining government."

Non of this behavior or the rationale behind it is surprising. We just have a media that won't report the investigative facts in stead of kicking out sound bites. Let foxnews manufacture consent.

To some of the people in the representatives districts it is popular. These congressmen will face no voter backlash for causing this.

    Fund the federal government.

(very very nice how libertarians and Republicans are slowly kowtowing to many government functions. Perhaps the beginning of a reawakening of the need for government.)

The complete disconnect and blatant attempt to grasp at anything that might be a good photo op or might poll well is still a little fun to witness.

Save the Parks being the focus is just 100% awesome.

Someone needs to put a photo of Obama putting cones down and barricades. How hilariously ridiculous are republicans? As if Obama has the the time to worry about every single park. Or even cares. Dude, the president doesn't tell the Parks Service how to run the park. Are you republicans crazy?????
