Breakdown of events in the video: http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/217012.php Bikers said they were trying to stop a reckless SUV driver (lol, ironic) and weren't attacking the SUV before being ran over...yeah, no.
The general rule is not to split lanes when traffic is moving faster than 30 mph. My question is, what motivates you to stop someone from splitting a lane? Do you think they are getting away with something, or cutting in line?
In reality, I probably wouldn't have, but what's more dangerous, a car taking up its whole lane, or a motorcycle barreling through a lane at twice the speed limit, about a foot from your car? Oh yeah, the motorcycle driver wasn't wearing a helmet, either.
Feel like they are driving recklessly and possibly injure someone other than themselves. I don't care if they injure themselves... Not only that, they really weren't splitting the lane. Its kind of a bad example. I was on a two lane road, and they were just being a douchebag, trying to pass me, under the guise of splitting lanes. I had an suv do the same thing toe once, too. It was back in my road raging days. Home don't play dat.
http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2013/10...lists-involved-in-west-side-highway-incident/ Unbelievable, an undercover detective was part of the mob but did nothing to intervene or save Lien from being chased down and beaten. Disgusting.
The fact that the cop waited 3 days before turning himself in with a lawyer says a lot. NYPD is the most incompetent police force in the world.
http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york...er-attacked-upper-manhattan-article-1.1476093 Apparently there were multiple off duty cops that participated in the mob.
No sympathy for the Biker, he clearly runs with a crew of assholes who are constantly doing dangerous things like running lights, riding on the sidewalk, and seem to have a history of damaging cars that had the legal right of way. Jalopnik has a collection of videos from the guy who put the chase video up: http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/th...want-you-to-see-1435594427/1436603736/@orlove The last video shows them pounding on a prius or something that was making a left turn or trying to cross the intersection. It's disgusting that these guys are able to shut down highways to perform stunts and the police can't do anything because of the potential of the bikers escaping by going over sidewalks and God knows where else. It's just like the idiots who ride with Critical Mass.

Unlikely for a motorcycle to injure anyone but themselves. Unless they smash a window open, drag out the driver who is stuck in traffic and beat him. I think you mean passing on the shoulder?
Do you have any idea what you just said? It's like me saying all of dback816's family is roadkill. In all actuality, it's just you. Just a reminder, there is a MUCH LARGER percentage of bikers that would give these Hollywood asstunts a huge beat down for what they pulled. But then, you are welcome to you own opinion.
He was still in my lane, for the most part, as I was in a small car. By injuring someone else, I mean causing me, or someone else to swerve off the road as they saw him right behind them and thought he was going to rear end them. Its not really the same thing, though. This was about a douche being a douche. I'm all for splitting lanes properly, and I think the majority of motorcyclists mean well, but are given a bad rep by the few that ruin it for them. For those that ruin it, I hope they get what's coming to them, or they realize how dangerous it is and stop.
I've been seeing this reported as well. So these cops were breaking the law and they did NOTHING to stop this man from being beaten???????? In front of his wife and child!!! They were breaking the law as well as every one of those bikers were running red lights, riding on sidewalks, passing cars on the shoulder, speeding, etc etc. However many off duty cops there were, in my opinion they should be stripped of their badge and convicted. Whatever happened to protect and serve the people?
