    78. Coming off his Linsanity performance.

Funny how he's grouped with the two PGs he's been most compared to.

That's what you'd think but you just gotta wait and see all the players ahead of him. There are truly so very quality players (and starting PG's) behind Lin. When its all said & done, 106 might not really be that bad.

I like Lin's ranking. It'll fuel some more fire in him. I'd like it lower but it'll under-appreciate him. Dragic should be top 100 though let's see first who's on the top 100. I'm excited on what will be Harden's and Parsons' rankings would be. I expect Howard in top 10.

Although Dragic has played almost exactly twice as many minutes in his career as Lin their career per 36 minute #'s are pretty close.

    Lin FG 5.5, Dragic 5.5
    Lin FGA 12.6, Dragic 12.4
    Lin FG% .440, Dragic .443
    Lin 3P% .332, Dragic .350 (6 more 3P made by Lin and he'd be @ .350 too)
    Lin TRB 3.6, Dragic 3.8
    Lin AST 7.0, Dragic 6.9
    Lin STL 2.1, Dragic 1.6
    Lin BLK 0.4, Dragic 0.3
    Lin TOV 3.5, Dragic 3.2
    Lin PTS 15.7, Dragic 15.4

Even their career PER is close with Lin @ 16.1 and Dragic @ 15.7

I do not like that would have could have game but he would be higher had he performed during the playoffs and even being healthy in the postseason.

Lin is not flashy, he gets to the rim easily but doesn't really dunk like a Rose or Westbrook. And he doesn't do crossover(spin) moves like Kyrie Irving or CP3. He is efficient like them but his performance on the court isn't really flashy. Anyways that's why he's not ranked as high. That's how I look at it.

Jeremy at 106 isn't that bad. Considering his recovering from injury and usage, he didn't have a good season. I think 78 last year was a little high.

Rankings for Dragic and Lin as fair, and I expect both to be ranked better this year. But Felton should not be ranked near Lin/Dragic, maybe 130-150

Both Lin and Dragic did not have their best seasons. They were previously ranked around 80.... that's still where they belong IMHO.

Lin probably 89 and Dragic 88

With offseason rankings, last impressions matter a ton. Last year if you were to rank Rockets players, it would be Harden, Asik, and Parsons/Lin debatable who's better at #3/4. But Parsons killed it in the playoffs and Lin laid an egg(not his fault though). So Lin gets pushed into 4th best player on an above average team which is roughly where he's ranked as(90-120 being 4th options). So really, this ranking is more or less fair in the grand scheme of things.

Personally, I think the only Rocket that might get underrated is Asik. He was a defensive beast last year, but would not get due credit since the Rockets raw numbers looked so bad(quick pace + horrible transition D). I think he belongs in the top 50. But he won't get that treatment.

That doesn't surprise me. Lin is as good as all of them, plus more upside because he's the youngest and hasn't reached his ceiling yet. Everyone else has already maxed out.

Asik ain't a top 50 player IMO, but he's close. Top 75 I would say.

I also think Parsons was clear cut better than Lin last season, but that could be debated I suppose.

    Agreed.
Because he did it only for one season as a starter, maybe just outside of the 50s.
SI ranking had him at 69 which is the closest those journalists ranked him.

I thought lin would come in right around #100 this year. 106 is pretty close.

I see a top 70 or better caliber performance from him this season.

If you think of it this way, assuming parity in the NBA, 50 is basically a slightly below average #2 option. Pair Asik up with a decent NBA star, like a Deron Williams or a Paul George type, surround it with average talent, and you can certainly see .500 team.
