Delfino has more experience and had winning streaks with the Argentinian national team. The guy is cold blooded.
Casspi hasn't been on a winning team yet and he has the tendency to disappear rather than making the big shot.

I hope he turns it around for the sake of this team.

 

OK lets say the 'unsayable' . Bev is there to cover up Harden's defensive holes.
If Harden picks up his D back to his OKC days, which I expect coming this season. Bev will not be in the discussion for starting spot. If anything hopefully AB picks up and Bev has to contest with AB for the bench.

Eventually Bev got burnt by OKC's bench. Just look at the 2 pgs stats.
Bev is waaay overated.

 

Relax, I didn't mean to offend you at all. You and your girlfriend are entitled to your opinion and I'm glad she is such a Rockets fan, that's the kind of girl to have.

I just thought it was a very different kind of comment to make that your girlfriend said that Parsons is going to have a bad year. I watched Parsons in the summer and every game he has ever played with the Rockets and I haven't seen any indications that he is going to have a bad year.

 

I also liked AB playing the undersized 2 for couple of minutes. Should suit him well.

 

I understand and agree with your point that if it's better for the team, then Lins got to sit, but I'm just not seeing it. And I'm a Bev fan!! I've watched Hoop Reality 3 times already and marveled at how Morey found him, but.. As great a pick up as he was, I don't think he has nearly the impact that Lin does.
As far as spot up shooting goes, Lin was not as bad as you seem to remember. In fact, since Bevs entire time here, Lin has had a better 3pt shooting percentage than the entire team, let alone Bev.

But, you're right, I hope Lin improves his shooting even more this year.

They are playing without a pg, that's why.

 

I highly doubt AB will take over Bevs spot. He looks pretty tentative and rusty to me as a pg. He's still relatively young so he may regain his form but Bev is doing pretty good and I see Aaron playing a maximum of 10 minutes or so per game compared to the 20 minutes or so I expect from Bev.

 

If Beverley is so overrated why would they be trying to "drastically" increase his minutes(as someone said)?

 

Ouch.

 

Neither Brooks nor Bev is a sure thing. I think the question the coaching staff will have to ask themselves is...what do we need more: offense from Brooks, or defense from Bev? Brooks actually played very well in stretches in last year's playoffs.

That's a good point.

There's competition between teammates to establish the pecking order, so to speak. We'll see if Lin learned from last season. He allowed Harden to take the ball out of his hands. If he wants to have a premier role on this team, it is up to him to take it & not worry about stepping on anybody's toes.

 

AB has better court vision than Bev.

 

Casspi looks like ****. Just like I knew he would.
