If barack obama is such a great leader....why are we always moving from one crisis to the next

    It is a fascinating history.....you can find other african groups with similar stories throughout the western hemisphere.

    Very awesome bit of information. I didn't know about this at all. I love finding out about stuff like this.

    I have a hard time talking about all of this stuff which is of course very involved in the length of one post. I will definitely try and study up a bit on this stuff. Fascinating.

    Last tidbit unless others want more......if you like that kind of stuff you should check out "Dreams of Africa in Alabama" by Sylviane Diouf. The book is about the last know slave ship to land on U.S. soil, shortly before the outbreak of the American Civil War....at that time, the "slave trade" was illegal so they brought in illegally. It focuses on their adjustment to the new land, interactions with "african-americans" and their fight to remain true to who they were....it even follows their descendants, some of whom still live in the area.
