Everyone faces adversity. I'd give him two years to learn how to overcome it. Then pull the plug and let the water drain out.

Expect every team we face to blitz the whole game long. Every team's key for beating the Texans: Rattle Schaub

    Schaub = Yips

Yips or the yips is the apparent loss of fine motor skills without apparent explanation, in one of a number of different sports. The technical term is focal dystonia. Athletes affected by the yips demonstrate a sudden, unexplained loss of previous skills. Athletes affected by the yips sometimes recover their ability, sometimes compensate by changing technique, or may be forced to abandon their sport at the highest level.

If you want to salvage this season you got to stick with Schaub. He's extremeley limited as we all know but he is a vet and can read coverages. I think Schaub can get you to 10 wins regardless.

Keenum is a wildcard but as a rookie he can't be expected to read defenses like a vet would. Maybe his athleticism would help him out but it's still asking a lot.

Yates probably is the best choice if you were going to bench Schaub this year. He has experience and could hold down the fort until Keenum was ready.

Cutler will be a FA, but he might get franchised. There is no other good FA option.

Sticking with schaub is basically the opposite of salvaging this season. its actually a kamikaze job.

If Schaub were to get benched, is there even any chance that they would start Keenum ahead of Yates? Or is that just fans' wishful thinking?

No, and Keenum might not see play time no matter how poorly Yates plays.

If Yates were to start and play adequately enough to navigate through our easy remaining schedule, and our useless front office was dumb enough to anoint him our 2014 starter...I don't know what the **** I'd do.

And I could easily see that scenario play out.

Bob McNair did a magnificent job of bringing football back to Houston, and has basically been just about the most inept owner in sports since.

This last statement is so absurd that I will give the benefit of the doubt and assume you are drunk, or mentally ill.

I honestly think Keenum is the real backup and that Kubiak named Yates and said it will be a season long battle because naming Keenum would cause trouble on gameday when Schaub plays bad

The useless front office who has drafted Watt, Cushing, Brown, Jackson and found gems like Foster. SMH.

Yep, none of the other 31 franchises ended up with any good first round draft picks over the past 11 years. Don't forget to include all the bust first rounders that they've made. Hitting a few first rounders does not make a good front office, but, if that has to be explained to you, I can't help ya. SMH.

11 years? Kubiak was hired in 2006, Smith in 2007. And, yeah - it's harder than you think.

What first round busts? Okoye and...? And they haven't just hit on a "few" first rounders - they've hit home runs and grand slams. Brown, Cushing and Watt are top 50 players in the league, if not top 25, if not top 15, and are certainly top 5 at their respective positions. Jackson competently mans one of the toughest positions in football while Mercilus and Hopkins both show big-play potential.

Plus, they signed Foster, Myers, Smith, Smith, Joseph, Manning; drafted outside of the first round Tate, Daniels, Mitchell, Graham, Reed... And we're not even counting the still viable players that have run through here: Ryans, Winston, Jacoby, Barwin, Quin, Casey, Holliday,

They've been pretty good, with regards to personnel.

You are right, other franchises can hit a few first rounders like us. But I don't understand how you can overlook all the other wise personnel decisions that the FO has made.

Ok I've never been fan of Matt and the way he plays, but you definitely need to STFU now, bcuz for the past 2 years or so he had at least 3 or 4 comback wins each season, ahh Hello Chargers game...?

Plus what kind of argument about scoring TD in the first possession...?
