Pretty straight forward, if you work for the government you're clearly more than likely non essential to the function of our country, so with a deficit as big as ours, why can't we let them all go??

because democrats can only get jobs by employing the poor and uneducated with cushy government jobs? When was the last time you got decent help at a government office? The DMV is a zoo, the post office is a wreck, they hire bottom of the barrel people and give them automatic raises annually. It's clever though bc that is their voter base, so keeping them happy with jobs they don't deserve is a good move........this chart shows just how useless they are to the function of our nation though

Government employees are notoriously inefficient. They certainly don't get the best and brightest coming out of the best colleges, that's for sure. They get the leftovers, and then sap any motivation out of them. There are exceptions, of course, but in general...

That's a really good point! Surely you have never used the DMV or USPS, lets just throw them away.

All Bush was doing by making Dept. of Homeland Security was employing 200k+ useless democrats for votes.

While were at it, get rid of the leeching police, firemen, state attorneys.

Raytheon and Lockheed can be snipped too. These large military contractors are only killing people on our dime.

the soldiers and police were deemed essential hence they're still working.....thank you for serving our country. What I am talking about is the people at home right now who were deemed non-essential ie unimportant to the function of our country. If they're so non-essential why do we give them jobs? Is it so we can keep unemployment at 7% and not send it soaring?

They are not immediately essential. Some are luxuries, like the National parks. These things are funded because it enhances quality of life. And the 800k would sure send the unemployment skyrocketing. Heck cut all 2 million and would go up just over 1%

Why is eddiewinslow essential? All he does is charge people to have access to their own money. Seems like his parents could have handled that instead with the money that they gave him.

So let me get this straight. eddiewinslow's new plan to help the economy and lower the deficit is to put 800,000+ people out of work and on to unemployment rolls.

    Brilliant.
