James Harden and Dwight Howard. Both are the best players and they will lead by example.

Leaders are Lin and Garcia, with Parsons as co-captain when Garcia retires.

Harden is by far and away the best franchise player on the team... does not make him the leader.

    Dwight is not a leader.

He showed some leadership last year. You don't have to be the best player to be the leader. Like Charlie from the Mighty Ducks. Though I do think it will be Parsons. He's already our glue guy.

It's a lot cheaper for nba players if they do pay upfront, otherwise those later costs are killers...

Leaders don't lead from the bench.

Lin? are yall kidding? He's only vocal when he's having a good game, otherwise he's usually timid and lacks the confidence for other grown men to look up to. They probably look at him as more of a little brother than a leader. From their personalities and experience, they'd probably step up in this order.... Howard>Garcia>Parsons>Harden>Lin.

It's Harden, then Garcia, then Camby, then Howard, then Parsons and then Lin off the court.

But on the court it will be Harden on offense and Howard on defense. You will usually see Harden guiding the offense and Howard orchestrating the defense.

Harden doesn't strike me as a leader. Sorry.

Last I checked, the Coach is the leader. Did everyone forget him? And, oh wait, isn't that coach Kevin McHale, one of the greatest players of all time and was hands down better than every player we have on the court? I think they should look at him as their leader.

Unless mac goes hot tub time machine on us, his skills as a former player aren't going to help this team.

Spoelstra never played in the nba yet he's led the heat to 2 rings and 3 straight finals appearances.

It's entertaining. Can't wait for news to break that Lin isn't the captain.

I would take issue with your use of the word "led", in this case.

Any time you listen to the way Spoelstra talks to his team, talks X's and O's, or just carries himself in general, nothing about him strikes you as an outstanding coach.

Anyway, not to go on a tangent here... but I think a lot of pieces have to fit together to win an NBA ring; and I submit that coaches are least important in the NBA out of the four major sports, currently. McHale hasn't proven anything at the coaching level yet, but I also wouldn't hold that against him until I see what he does with this, by far his best roster. At a minimum, the players have demonstrated buy-in and an appreciation for him as their coach. That's a big component.

Hard to lead from the bench in the fourth quarter.

It should be Harden and Parsons. I'm basing that on tenure and skill.

Lin should be a good leader.
