Watched the United game. I don't know if Steve Clarke is that good or Moyes is just clueless. I'm thinking a bit of both. Moyes should be given a full season and another full transfer window for us to judge, but I doubt he'll make it that far by the looks of it. It's still weird seeing Fellaini in a red kit.
Podolski, Cazorla, Oxlade Chamberlain, Rosicky, and now Walcott have been out with injuries for a while and yet Arsenal is at the top. I am interested in seeing how Cazorla and Rosicky link up with Ozil in the midfield once they come back.
Liverpool will gladly take Kagawa off of MU's hands if Moyes doesn't like him. Suarez and Sturridge combo is already looking pretty deadly as seen from today's Sunderland game. Add another creative attacking mid to play opposite to Coutinho when he gets back from injury... cray.
------------ v. Persie ---------- Kagawa ------ Rooney -------- Nani ------ Anderson ----- Cleverley------ Evra ---- Evans ---- Jones ----- Rafael ----------------de Gea------------------ Subs:Lindegaard, Smalling, Vidic, Carrick, Chicharito, Januzaj, Welbeck I am kind of curious to see if this team would work out. Rio is past it, and there's no drive in the midfield when Fellaini and Carrick plays. This team might have a direction even though defence looks very weak. Vidic can come in for Evans if that's what you would prefer but I like to see younger blood getting chances. Kagawa has been playing games, but why Moyes subs him so early is absolutely beyond me. The style United plays doesn't suit a player like Kagawa who's always looking to exploit holes and gaps in the defence since the midfielders and defenders aren't getting the ball out of the back quick enough for him to pull it off. Honestly, I wanna see Kagawa go back to Dortmund just to see a front four of Aubemeyang, Reus, Mkhitaryan, and Kagawa once that traitor, Lewandowski, leaves. That could be one of the fastest counter attacking team ever. Though United isn't anywhere near the top, this year's PL is going to be a great with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham being legitimate title contenders along with Chelsea and City (Jury is still out on Liverpool and Man United). Arsenal fans, how much of an impact does Flamini have on this team? Arsenal's got their flame (no pun intended) back since he returned and the team has a purpose now.
Özil already with a goal and an assist, love how he's doing at Arsenal. Perez was a moron for selling him.
Ozil is absolute magician. £42m well spent by Wenger. Ozil and Flamini will be in contention for signing of the season IMO. Think if I were Perez, I would've sold di Maria first or not buy Bale at all for that idiot price tag.
I ws rocking my brand new Ozil jersey today while watching the game. Ozil can be lazy at times and almost never plays any defense but he more than makes up for it on offense. The offense just moves smoothly with him controlling the plays. The ball movement and player movements are much better with him. He really is a glue guy and Madrid is finding it out. Not only was Madrid stupid in letting a player like Ozil go, they have been trying to defend the move by smearing him (his night life was an issue, he was out with women, he couldnt take the pressure...). Disgraceful stuff on their part. WTF cares?! He was producing on the field. His teammates loved him He as one of the players Barcelona actually feared when they played against Madrid. His ex-coach Mourninho tried to get him on Chelsea but Arsene had already nabbed him.....Yeah..sounds like a trouble maker.
Ozil is an awesome player, but he's not Madrid's biggest absence, that's Xabi Alonso. Isco is filling in fine for Ozil, he's even inconsistent like him, but Illarramendi and Modric can't do the things Alonso does and that's why Madrid have dropped points. And I think y'all are jumping the gun on Bale. He was one of the top five players in the world last season. Let's see how he does once he's healthy.
Nice goal. Pretty high on the difficulty scale... One time volley on a bouncing fast ball and then to re-direct and curl it away from the keeper . An aimed volley.
If Ozill stays healthy and motivated and Arsenal continues to play with confidence... and they win the EPL, does that mean Wenger will be their manager for life? And probably his descendants too?
Good weekend for the good guys. It's early, but LFC are looking real good with their dynamic duo (SAS Team as the commentator said). Things will only get tougher from here on out though. Chelsea will find themselves sooner than later and it's only a matter of time until RVP finds the net regularly again. Also, how many teams does LONDON have anyway?? They have like 50. Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham, Crystal Pallace, Fulham... that's SIX in the PL alone! Imagine if NY had 8 teams in the NBA.
