That is the thesis of how a liberal's mind works. Their main focus is correcting what they see as social injustice. They look for "victims". Minorities, the poor, women, Muslims, gays, etc... you name it.

If there are victims, then there must be oppressors. Who are these oppressors? White men. They believe that white men have white privilege. It's a white man's world and everybody else is a second-class citizen in it.

So if you are a white conservative male, then you don't just disagree politically. You are oppressing people. This is why they throw around the race card so quickly. Or sexist. Or whatever. If you are a white conservative male, you are automatically against the "victims"... so you must be racist, sexist, homophobic, etc.

And this is why they like big government. They see big government as a way to protect these groups of "victims" from the oppressive society run by white males.

Do you agree or disagree with this. And why?

For sure there are people who believe this. They claim to be bleeding heart types who want to help the oppressed. Whether or not they blame the white man, or "evil corporations" or "evil Christians" or their parents or whoever probably varies.

Completely disagree, and it's unfair to generalize a whole political ideology based on the beliefs of a few.

Let me help you out with your answer...
Conservatives on this board will agree with you.
Liberals and moderates on this board will disagree with you.
You would have to be quite dense not to expect any other outcome.

With all due respect, replying to your OP would imply that it's worth replying to. It is not, and my views have been posted here more times than I can count, for a decade. Do a search. If you can't do a search, then contribute to ClutchFans, so you can.

If it wasn't worth replying to, then why did you reply in the first place?

but sure, I can see how that can be warped to a simplistic theory about "bigger government".

regardless, "victims" are protected from the "oppressors" even if the oppressors are in the majority by something called judicial review, and the Constitution. so no need to sweat too too much.

A proponent of a big government that regulates the economy and advances social programs.

Why do they want to regulate the economy and advance social programs? Those are means to an end. What is the goal?

Well, the secret is that liberals are actually anti-American Communists who want to see the country burn.

Hence why predominately only successful Western democracies spend the most on social programs while Libertarian havens such as Somalia and Ethiopia these programs are non-existent.
