You know it's really interesting what you took from this. It sounds as if this guy got a text from a family member and rushed to the mall with his gun to help. You took from that, a gun enabled him to help people escape a massacre. What you didn't take from that was that people with access to guns murdered 60 people at the mall. So it's interesting how you like to look at it. You see, the gun doesn't prevent massacres it enables massacres and the return fire during a massacre.

What I took from this this thread is that terrorists are still terrorizing people of different beliefs regardless of your snarky comments and feelings on gun control. What you took from this appears to be an opportunity to snipe (no pun intended) at supporters of gun ownership.

If you're ever in the middle of a nightmare like the Nairobi mall massacre I hope, in the absence of police or military authority, a responsible gun owner is there to save your life or provide you some assistance. I sincerely hope that's never something you never have to encounter.

Now, while you're all keyed up on automatic weapons the city of Chicago is under siege by gun violence. Over two dozen shot and five dead just this past weekend. During the same time Boko Haram (back on topic) decided to slaughter students with knives and machetes while these children slept in their beds.
