Don't have class tomorrow. Debating a midnight pickup for this. Hearing good things about the gameplay from Operation Sports, who's usually my go-to place for 2K stuff.
Players actually make an effort to get across the half court line when you make a pass to a player a few feet behind the line. Made me laugh every time one of us pumpfaked, and caught a knee to the chest because we were trying to close in on the shot and the defender just runs THROUGH you. Slight improvements from what I've tried so far, but stuff that's necessary. You're way more prone to turnovers now if you mash on the Turbo button too.
Finally got around to playing it yesterday after the Texans choke, I did a quick game vs the Spurs. Dwight was incredible, he made difficult catches and can dunk anything. Beverley, Lin and Parsons were all easy to shoot 3's with, and I noticed Beverley was able to strip the ball from Parker on multiple occasions. Then I tried the Lebron mode and did the Heat dynasty where they play Houston in the 2014 Finals. You're supposed to win game 6, and get the 3-peat, but I had already decided to let the Rockets win. Turns out, the Rockets kicked my ass even when I tried. I couldn't stop the fastbreak or Harden drawing fouls in the paint. <img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7389/10020762834_83186c4a6b_z.jpg" width="640" height="361" alt="IMAG1103"></a> Yes, I made them wear the dildo jerseys.
I'm down for PS3 and PS4 (when it's released). Just sucks that I like 2k this much that I'm gonna buy it twice lol. I'm also going to get LIVE 14 for PS4. It's supposedly designed for next-gen.

I was about to mention that you could use the upgrade program (get PS4 version of PS3 game for ~$10), but apparently you can only use this program with NBA 2K14 in Europe (not the US). OK...
But what can you say about the effort put into 2k11, 2k12, 2k13, and possibly 2k14? If they're focusing so much on next-gen then I better be blown away by it. Not saying I don't believe in 2k to make a really good game for next-gen, it's just there's no way you can't say that they've been lazy these past few years.

I think they've done a ton between those games. Added entirely new features and a bunch of stuff between 11-14 I don't think they have done much this year though. It seems the big modes have been just retouched. Also people really should refrain from calling game devs 'Lazy' these people work some serious hours. Usually they just don't have enough time to do the more ambitious things or they just plain can't do them. Nothing to do with being lazy.
Looks pretty good, though still rough in some areas. Was hoping we could get rid of repeated models in the crowd, but guess that will have to wait. If this is 1080p and a solid 60 FPS, I can maybe overlook that. Next-gen forehead wrinkles are great.
