Just ignore him. He was being a d**k to others about it at the start, so the best thing to do is either tell him to f**k off (like calling my opinion asinine, that deserves a "F**K you, a*****e" from me) or just ignore him. I choose the latter.

The lyrics of El Paso are about a gunfighter who falls in love with a Mexican girl named Felina. Near the end of the song, the gunfighter gets in shootout, where he gets struck in the side by a bullet. At the end of the song, the gunfighter lays dying, while Felina kneels by his side. If you listen to the full song below, then you will notice that several lines of the song could be interpreted as laying out what happens in the Breaking Bad finale.

Look, the problem is you're acting like the ending of the show somehow proved your argument (which would be very "convenient" for you :)), but obviously it didn't if you were to give it a moment's thought. Me pointing this out is of course "tiresome", because you desperately want to do the whole "I'm right and you were wrong. Apologize!" thing. A little childish, wouldn't you say?

If Gilligan indicates at some point that the Schwartez were minor characters and they didn't consider Walt killing them as a serious possibility, then I'll accept that I am wrong and you can gloat then. Happy?

The Star Trek aside from Badger foreshadowed the finale:

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/mIsauNJ392o" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    Spock is Walt
    Kirk is Jesse
    Chekov is Jack
    Scotty is Todd
    Uhura is Lydia

Kirk (Jesse) loses early (became a meth slave). Spock always wins (Walt always wins, or have so far) - "How can Spock win? He's like a toothbrush" (Walt's sickly thin state). Chekov (Jack) is winning with Scotty (Todd's help) until Uhura (Lydia) distracts Scotty and it ends up getting Chekov (Jack) killed. (Lydia instructs Todd to have Walt come to the compound to have him killed).

Probably. Less so than the insults slung my way which started all of this though.

I'm not just going to let it slide and not bring this whole thing up when whoever it was who attempted to ream me on a message board ended up with egg all over their face(s). Just not my nature. It amuses and fascinates me the lengths to people will go to not face the music, rather than admitting they were completely wrong and move on.

Don't forget Kirk and Spock are best buddies.

Spock dies trying to saving Kirk in Wrath of Khan.
Spock dies in the reactor room, Walt dies in the lab.

I really liked the finale, didnt love it, but overall I'm satisfied with the ending. A couple of things that bugged me was making it so obvious that Lydia was taking the ricin.

It's one thing to zoom in on the stevia packet on the table, it's another thing to see the stevia GO DIRECTLY INTO HER TEA. It felt like Gilligan made it so obvious, like we as fans couldnt put 2 and 2 together and figure it out on our own. Its the subtlety that makes this show great.

Also, I didnt like the song choice for the finale scene were Walt is at the lab slowly dying. Yes, I listened to the lyrics. The lyrics fit the scene, but the song felt too upbeat and happy. I wanted something more sad and somber, something that depicted the legacy that walt left and the state that he was in.

No, I'm right. Cannonball posted his opinion about the grey matter element, and you stated it annoyed the living hell out of you b/c he stated it as fact, not his opinion. Which he didn't, because it's all opinion. Look, there's nothing wrong with arguing, and even getting in a sarcastic jab here and there, but you've done it several times and it pissed people off, that's what we have an issue with. But you won't get it, so there's no point.

That's fine, but its pretty weak to demand an apology before you can demonstrate that they were completely wrong.

If someone said something along the lines of "I'm telling you the Schwartzes are going to get killed by Walt next episode, the writing is on the wall, and you're stupid for not seeing it that way", then I would get it. That didn't happen. People were just explaining why they think it would make some sense if the Schwartzes are eventually killed by Walt (not the same thing as a strident prediction that they would be killed). That's a legitimate and fair discussion point, but it drove you into a hissy fit for whatever reason.

People shouldn't be throwing out personal insults over it, but the fact is you were unnecessarily defensive and accusatory about this from the start and that's why the insults came your way.

One thing slightly overlooked (and not really talked about in here thus far) was Walt giving Skylar the coordinates/lotto ticket for Hank/Gomez' bodies... so that she can trade this info for dropped charges/protective custody/whatever she can get.

Not sure if that would fly in a federal investigation, but was still seen as a genuine attempt to make things right (at least Sklyar bought it... and thus bought Walt some time with his daughter).

I'm going to miss those guys! I only played world at war zombie mode because of badger and skinny pete. Before that, I was like why play more when I already place glorious soviet flag over reichstag.

By the way, that is literally exactly what happened, and exactly what spurred this. By, wouldn't you know it, the other guy currently whining about me (and at least one other).

How exactly was Walt expecting Gretchen and Elliott to set up that trust for Walt Jr? They would need to launder the $9 million, right?

It wouldn't need to be laundered considering how rich Gray Matter and the Schwartz are. Nobody would bat an eye if it looked like a donation, not so crazy since they already donated 28 mil for a drug abuse foundation.
